You atleast know you have a problem and you're admitting it. You might think it's a small step. I'm telling you it's a big step. So you haven't found what works for you yet. I'm wishing you find a program that works well for you. Maybe therapy wouldn't hurt either. Like a mind and body. It's never too late to quit.

@claytonmeredith7095 Thank you for your very kind words, hun. They're very much appreciated. I tried therapy/counselling etc but I find it hard to find my voice. It just makes me feel like I'm dredging things up that are best forgotten and have walked away crying. I was with mum over the weekend and she brought up how she had taken me to a session when I was younger and I had come out of the office crying. Apparently the counsellor told mum when she was asking why I was upset they couldn't talk about our discussion but I'll be ok. I don't remember that at all. I endure anxiety and depression so going in to public can be daunting and my hands shake like crazy. I immediately go into a kind of autopilot that apparently protects my brain from being overwhelmed and having a panic and/or anxiety attack. I never thought this is how I'd end up in life considering how I seemed so outwardly confident and did things I in NO WAY could try doing today...like dance on stage in front of people in nightclubs, barmaid in busy places etc. Things that an introverted, self loather couldn't do. I always had a self hatred, a lot of anger in me and a rebellious sense of self but I drank, smoked pot etc and partied instead of locking myself away numbing the pain with severely addictive drugs that only exacerbated things. At some point my confidence completely disappeared and I became almost reclusive. I turned away invitations from friends more and more to the point they gave up. They'd been seeing me decline physically and mentally for so long I guess they realised they could no longer try to help me. I can only blame myself for their "abandonment". Sorry for the novel of a reply but I tend to ramble lol. I feel like I'm broken and not worth fixing but kindness from people (like yourself) is always extremely appreciated and I have gratitude for the kindness. Stay safe, hun💜.

@nelliesilvers1210 You're precious and you're loved. You're not broken or a waste of anyone's time. I don't have a magic cure or some meds that will do the trick. Advice is always easier to give than to get. Funny how that works lol. Sometimes it's taking just 1 thing. 1 thing and fixing it. I might not give great advice. I am a good listener if you ever want to vent. You aren't alone. I hear you and I recognize you ❤️
