Great to see a 3rd airline doing well, rather than just jetstar and Air NZ. There are actually 9x airlines I could find listed in NZ. I hope that Sounds Air can scale up and compete against jetstar and Air NZ. I'd far rather a successful 3rd airline, than a 3rd supermarket. Also NZ has the least competitive domestic airline industry, with Air New Zealand getting 86% of the market share. I would like to see Sounds Air overtake jetstar and Air NZ, I am not a fan of the current 2 big airlines we have. Sounds Air doing 360+ scheduled flights a week is awesome. I live in Christchurch, so don't really have travel plans that have a need for the Sounds Air flights, but I'm glad they are getting more market share, and hopefully they expand. 6 Dec 2024 10:17pm NZ

Actually we had the best playground in NZ , people traveled both nationality and internationally to come to Christchurch , where the playground was funded ,designed and put up by parents and volunteers, first came the vandals followed by council orders to have the much loved playground dismantled 😢

The whole Coromandel Peninsula is the garden of Eden. That pie shop in Paeroa does a beautiful Smoked fish pie.

We just did this trail and it was nice. Saying that, the transport from Clyde back to Cromwal was a huge issue as there was none available. As a tip, we parked our bikes in Cromwall, took the car over to Clive and parked it there overnight. Went on the Intercity on that evening from Clyde back to Cromwell and had our bikes waiting for us to do the trail the next day!! In hindsight, we would only bike up after that amazing suspension bridge and turn around and bike back as the landscape does not change anymore after that. And it saves all the transport hassle.
