Use a pot to transform into a high-end audio system - Create unaffordable music enjoyment
Today I decided to turn this pot into a premium stereo that I can't afford. I lingered in front of the store for a while, noticing a loudspeaker so prominently featured in high-end homes that even Jobs was a fan. However, the price is nearly 20,000, which is too expensive for me. So, I decided to make one myself.
I spent 250 yuan to buy a large pot at the vegetable market, and it looked like a speaker. Then I thought about the legs of a small dining table I've been using for years and it seemed like a perfect speaker leg. I also dismantled an old speaker set at home and removed the speakers and motherboard.
First, I marked the location of the three leg mounting holes on the bottom of the cauldron and cut them out with a cutting machine. Since the cauldron is made of stainless steel, it was a bit difficult to cut, but it was not a big problem. I used a hole saw to open the round hole in the middle, it looks a bit like an alien. Next, I needed to make a support for the outrigger, so I bought a stainless steel pipe at the door and window store downstairs for 20 yuan. Use welding techniques to fasten the metal pipes and large nuts together. Although I'm not skilled at soldering, it looks like the welded seam is reasonably strong.
Since the speaker has three legs, I made three nails and soldered them to the case. Of course, this wasn't the final look I wanted, I needed to cut off the excess. Once that was done, I installed the upper legs and tried to stand it upright. From this angle, it looks a bit like it already, but the shell still needs to be worked on.
I need to cut a vent hole in the back, this is the air outlet for the speaker unit, the sound from the woofer will come from this location. Also, there needs to be a large vent at the top. I like working with existing materials, so I found a stainless steel wine glass that I thought would work for the control panel. I cut off the excess and pre-drilled the key holes. The control section needs to fit on the bottom of the enclosure, so I drew exactly where it needed to be cut and started cutting.
This process is as exciting as setting off fireworks when I was a child, and I feel full of passion. Every time I finish a part of the job and see the speaker look closer and closer to what I imagined, I feel a sense of accomplishment. I bought some parts like flanges, wires and brackets and soldered them to the enclosure to hold the woofer and circuit board in place. There are also two small speakers that I mounted on either side of the speaker. Next is the most critical part, the wiring work of the speaker, circuit board and power supply. This process needs to be done with care, as any mistake can affect the sound quality.
Finally, I started sanding the shell to give it some metallic texture. I also used plastic connectors and planks to hold the interior in place, and used sealant and screws to hold the pieces together. I cut some sound holes in the case for better sound quality. Finally, I snapped the top cover on and made a mask out of acoustic fabric and rubber bands to give the speaker a more refined look.
With patient effort, I managed to turn an ordinary cauldron into a luxurious speaker. Now, I also have a high-end stereo at home, which can play high-quality music through a Bluetooth connection. I can't wait to invite the neighbors over to my house to show off my masterpiece. I hope they'll be amazed by the amp, but I also hope they don't realize I actually made it. This story is full of love and creativity for life, and it makes me appreciate my hard work and sense of accomplishment even more.

DIY wooden chair

Hi guys! I am a lover of handmade, today I want to share with you an experience of making a folding chair. I went straight to the internet and bought square weights and arranged the bars neatly. Then I drew a drawing and processed it according to the drawing. First, nail a nail in the middle of the wooden strip, and then draw two corresponding semicircles with a string and a pencil to determine...

Would the sensors still work if it was your foot getting close to it? Also will it work through plastic and socks? One last thing, can the sensors work with Arduino instead of directly being attached to LEDs?

    • @Fine_i_set_the_handle

No, it has no program and those are only white leds. The chip literally just detects objects turns the light on and then dims it off when it doesn't see an object, there is no code, no controller and no program. If you wanted to do what you're talking about you'd be looking at a full re-engineer of all the electronic parts. Your idea would require a master controller and a robust communication bus that could communicate with every single module telling it what color to turn on etc.

i have been playing around with the ttp223 and capacitor to act as the fade off of the led but for a reason i can't explain, it fade on the led instead of fading off the led. when i run it with a simple push button, its all good and work exactly like i want but when i take the push button out and put the ttp223 to its place, it reverse the fade and i can't get it to work at all. the ttp223 is fine and work perfectly too caus if i take the capacitor out, it work just like the push button.
