In 2021 my Dad was killed by a shark. Though the real tragedy wasn't his death, but the loss of his life. His nick name was Skidders, he was a surfer, pilot and friend to many. In 2023 I decided to honor his life and memory through creating this channel. So this is Skidders Kid, travelling and flying around the world just as he did, and pursuing my passion in film as he would have wanted.
When someone dies it takes something from you and creates something else. That is the shadow of grief. I've learnt the most powerful way to heal is holding the hand of someone who understands your pain.
Now a shark attack is as rare as a way online to grieve.
Thats why this channel is going to evolve into a place where people who have lost someone can come to. I'm going to create videos where through a weekly themed topic this community can share stories of their passed loved ones.
I know this would have helped me. I hope it can help anyone else who has suffered a loss.

5:48 those looks very similar to Hawaiian sergeant major's (idk their latin name)... But the baby ones are my ultimate favorite fish to snorkel with. They are tiny as babies, like a few centimeters at most... And they will use ANYTHING they can find for an artificial reef. Thats including your clothing, your snorkel/mask, your hair, beteen your fingers lol. They are like the most playful thing ever and I don't think they have a concept of fear when they are little babies lol. They are still cool fish when they grow bigger like here eating the rice, but they will swim away when you put your hand near them, they won't ever get as close to you as those little baby infant fish lol.

Ah the Amalfi Coast. I've been to Sorrento but, the day I was going to visit the Amalfi Coast on that trip the highway got wiped out on a landslide the night before. It looks amazing and you give a unique view to it. I'd love to get out on the water. The views alone are amazing and the water looks refreshing in the summer afternoon.

The colour of that water is just incredible! Seems like it was an awesome day there and perfect weather.
We were very lucky to have crystal water and blue skies! The water was super choppy though, almost a bit scary as we were quite a fair bit out and the waves were growing as we were out. Also lots of huge boats too so had to get out of their way a lot 😬
