Hate to say how much sense this makes when you think of bone durability of creatures that size. How as a cost cutting measure & blue print, how well that works in world depth & believability. One of the weirder choices of TOHO live movies, now put in a way where we see the true horror & corporate-ness of it in how real that'd be. Those bones will never rest. Even once long dead, they will be marionetted out into the world still. You don't get much more Meta than that.
