How long does something like this take to construct?
I can finally go to sleep now
Thought this was about how theyre built. Instead its a music video. No dialogue at all. I was looking for something educational.
We just want to see how they build it we don't need the bloody annoying music
Could you put one of these up for my 20 meter yagi? I could pay as much as 2000 dollars! 😃

Ok that's cool. But who constructed the yellow crane ? Huh ?!
The yellow crane is a gin pole that rides up the tower face as it gets taller. It doesn't go all the way to the ground, but is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 120' - 140' long and is assembled and installed by the stacking crew when the crane at the beginning of the video runs out of reach.
❤Nice, this is my job
Man, they got every last inch out of that gin pole!
tooo bad about the stupid Music !!!!
I want to see on come down
Had the instructions upside down , the point goes on top 😂
That's why these guys make the big bucks. 😵
Wow. Amazing. And seems quite dangerous. Pretty impressive. The egypcians pyramids are awesomely fantastic, but this engineering feat is also amazing.
You couldn’t pay me the whole Earth to get up there and do that.
Amazing
PERFECT
How tall is? In metres
I love it
yes thats my trade 15 yrs of it
pay rate check! who out there is a tower rigger? how long have you been climbing? and what is your hourly pay/salary?
Idk how they finish this in a whole dat
Sketchy, at best. 🧗🤠
Its like watching ants work
Yeah.. this music remix… “I hate it” it must die and never come back. Phone the government! You just killed a remarkable song
Id like to see a time lapse drawing of the building of the great pyramids!🤣
If Elon Musk was a Ham Operator.
Me after 2 Viagra
Seems like the answer to simple questions like why's the bottom shape of these like a triangle? Can't get answers from yt search u get like 3 videos n their bs algorithms non sense ffs so I gotta ask them of the ppl who work the field! I used to do ham radio but we never learned why do these types have the guide safety wires and the shape of the bottom one would think flat is best but no is it to do with the antenna itself? Or something like better performance? Or something else thatd be structural more so?
The bottom is tapered like that so all the internal forces are resolved to a single point of downward force. If you think of the concrete foundation like a seesaw, if you push one end down with your hand, the other side goes up. If you stand at the center of the seesaw and push down, it will hardly move at all. So, the base carries all the compression, and the wires that attach to the distant anchor foundations take the horizontal, uplift, and rotational forces. You CAN leave the three legs separate at the bottom, but you just need a stronger foundation. Basically just saves some money and materials if you taper the base since it's a more effective design. - Source: a telecom engineer
@@NAPtubexvii thanks I never understood that lol been a ham operator extra class since like 2001 lol but never knew this I even built my own but they weren't this large so thr base were normal looking lol. But thanks for the answer was very detailed and accurate makes perfect sense too. How'd they ever discover this even like wtf lol tricks of thr trade that get ppl to thinking oh there must be an evil illuminati thing lmao just cuz millennials don't know how anything's done cuz they've never really had do anything it's mostly gen x and the boomers who actually worked manual labor and construction etc lol now they've all got desk jobs and they stream video games for a living n give their opinions on things they know not about lol that how we ended up with so much ignorance but anyway I digress lol I went way out into thr weeds with this 1 lol
$$$$$
How many actual sections per 1,500 ft?? Thanks!
I work near towers I saw in the distance as a teenager; quite tall. The guy lines are arrayed with weights on them near their anchorage points. All quite fascinating!
Eye see
Why are people complaining about the music
I don't see how those guys walk. They must have huge balls!!!!
Why are there dislikes?
Just people afraid of heights…
TRXAS
Why is the bottom of the tower pointed? I saw one a few weeks ago and it didn’t make sense to me
So it can pivot... At 1500 feet, the wind loading is unreal, and it will twist, if it was the 3 legs bolted to the foundation, that twisting motion will eventually cause stress cracks, and eventually failure of the structure. I relamped one in Orange Texas that was 600', and it had no torque arms on it, plus a 12 bay candle opera. Even with hardly any wind, it twisted 2 feet, back and forth at 600 feet in the air. I changed the becon bulbs, and came down pretty fast, because it is not a very fun sensation.
@@jamesburris4078 cause of the swaying from winds
@@jamesburris4078 was it the one over on Old hwy 90 or the one by Japanese lane? Both seem to be topped with a similar candelabra setup.
@@mamaremy628 that was in 1990? I think, and I don't remember truthfully. The tower itself was owned by Bowen and Smith out of Galveston.
Idk y but I wanna do this
What's name of the tower?
5:04 - Another safe erection boys!
Uhhhhh wtf just going through this I see that tower almost every day it’s in my town
Not a single black person was used in the making of this video.
What?
What's the yellow thing? Is it like some removable scaffolding?
Gin pole
Music ruined the video.
Horrible music, you butchered the song
Fuuuuuuuk no. And I thought the guys who changed the light on the top were crazy.
Cool. I love towers. You folks did an outstanding job of "Cloud Walking!"
The start of this video reminded me of an 80s SEX ED video. I thought I was about to learn how the reproductive system works ---- Had eye of the tiger going.... Pictured myself back in school.
