Hey, where is the crank, the con rods, pistons, piston rings... the intake is closed, the exhaust ports are too narrow... this way this motorcycle will never run. :)

I had the real sxz 1100....and a standard one... I also built this model

They are very good for the price. I use now for 1 year that 98D and the swallowtail pistol grip.And they perform so good,that they are up to the Ultra and Revolution fro H&S,wich i also got. The mobius is on list to buy,but it seems there will be some updates next year. Maintain them good and clean,and they will keep perfoming. Great color on that body.

The down pipes and mufflers were black chrome- very glossy.

I built this exact kit years ago when i owned the 1981 1100.

No side panels?

Really bad choice of colour for the bike. I never saw anything other than silver and silver/ dark blue. The seat is all wrong too.

Fab kit, beautifully done. I noticed those sanding blocks, who made those.

Nicely done, I have built a few of the 1/6 kits, I must get this one some day, got the Z1300 kit to build next.

I nhad this kit and a real Kat. The plated engine is unrealistic. I stripped it with oven cleaner and sprayed it with a less shiny aluminium.

Nice. I always struggle with DFV exhaust systems. On the Tyrell they had a couple of optional supports for under the chassis so that the tyres wouldn't crush after five or so years, an issue here in Australia with the hot weather

What a beautiful build, I've wanted to build a model of the Katana for some time. Back in the last century I had a 750 Katana, it looked the same as the 1100 but had the rear half of the seat covered in blue vinyl and a 750 badge rather than the 1100. I've never seen one since and wish I never sold it, the thing was a rocketship and handled like an Italian sports bike but on acid. The best I ever got from a rear tyre was 4500 kilometres and that was with a dual compound tyre. It revved like a wild animal and when the tacho hit 3 grand it did it's best to pull my arms out of their sockets.

My old bike from the 80,s. I have build the 1-12 katana already. And ordered just today this big kit,to be busy during x-mas and the new year. The result is like the real bike, you made it perfect in my eyes.Thank for uploading this build,will be very helpfull when i build it

Kind of a total tragedy, considering the fact, that they actually do make hex bolts of the same size/scale as those ridiculous button head phillips screws. Totally destroys the scale realism.
