Porter Robinson - Is There Really No Happiness? (from SMILE! :D World Tour Announcement) [Extended]
7/25/24 Update: It's Is There Really No Happiness? !!! I did not expect to hear this in that but it was super duper cool to hear. Porter was right, that chorus SOARS!!
This nearly six-second-long ID from Porter Robinson's SMILE! :D World Tour Announcement has been on my mind ever since I first heard it, and I'll be living off of these crumbs for months until Porter releases it....IT'S SO GOOD ;-;
I looped the original as best I could, then slowed it down, and then sped it up in this video. Many variations of an incredibly beautiful and short snippet. HOW DOES HE DO IT???
My theory is that this is a Dullscythe (SMILE! :D Live Edit) because of the chord progression and similar drum rhythm and samples. The vocals are probably Porter's pitched Nurture voice ran through a trance gate and maybe he'll sing this live!!! I DON't KNOW BUT WE'LL SEE! W if true!!!!
