Kate, I found my felted wool! So excited to try it out. I sure hope winter lasts a little longer so I can stitch more. My garden is going to minimal this year because I want my time for stitching!

Every spring little birdies need to revamp their nest to make it all fresh and comfy for their new babies. As you harvest your gorgeous nest it seems you are taking a favorite section and giving it a new start...a new life. Love watching and learning from your creative process. It's wonderful!! Great to wake up to your videos…. I enjoy my coffee and crochet while watching! I have so many fun things in my stash and you have inspired me to get in there and use my goodies! I sold for many years in markets and online and I have beautiful vintage fabrics and blankets that either didn’t sell or I bought to make things with, so now I going to make a couple of “Favorite Things “ totes for me and maybe to start selling again. Good morning. Going on 5:00 am here in Toronto and I have my coffee in hand. Brought a green bin bag out to the bin after dinner. Oh look. More snow so I tossed some salt on the steps and walkway and went back in and decided to go to bed early so had a good rest. As soon as I turned on your site my mouth fell open at this vase and flowers you are working on. Simply gorgeous. A definate Wow moment seeing it for the first time. The creative part of your mind is working superbly. Of course this will be a double viewing...simply gorgeous. Isn't it amazing to realize how how creative mind can move on to so many different ideas. Love those moments as the new visions burst forward. AND to have the freedom and time to just play. I just remembered that more than 20 years ago I felted some wool using old sweaters. I am going to get that and use it as the base for some of my fabric to make what you are teaching us!

That’s a fun prompt for February Kate. I must have watched that film at least 100 times. I remember going to the pictures to see it with mum and dad and my brother when I was about 7. ( so that is 61 years ago 😮) Then I had 4 children so they all loved it as well. Now I have 9 grandchildren and they all love Disney type animated movies so I think that is sad. Congratulations Jane! Happy Best Birthday Wishes Kate! I say we celebrate all month long. OMG I’m so thrilled about February’s start! Since I make collage grateful journals & quilt,knit & crochet & slow stitch I have incorporated your wonderful idea to follow along using all my creative hobbies. So I made an entire altered book. All my notes & inspiration from your videos will be tucked in pockets & flaps. January Joy & lyrics will be the first few pages then now February. Along with my book I will have my January Joy nest, project bag & needle book to match. I can’t sleep at night with all these wonderful ideas in my head. Each month each project bag will coordinate with your prompts. At the end of the year I will have 12 project bags with each of your themes. Possibly the lyrics sewn into the cover of the project bag. Hope you like my ideas. Let me know what you think. I’m trying to calm myself down & remember that it’s slow stitching enjoying the journey. Having a whole month long gives us time. This is lovely and I am really enjoying that doily folded around the journal. It’s just beautiful! I bought a little denim journal from a kid who was selling them at one of my events this week (he’s donating all the proceeds to a non-profit that benefits survivors of human trafficking-pretty amazing young man!) and it has a fabulous denim pocket on the front. I was thinking of embroidering it, so this gives me some great ideas! Enjoy the color palette…it is just beautiful. Loved seeing you on my Saturday morning! ❤ Lots of love from 🌸Kate
