The setup is great with the 3s lipo. However, if you gear up it will over heat easily so you should get the esc fan a motor heatsync. For adding lights, I do believe you have to change the transmitter.

Unfortunately I can't remember anymore. They are for 1/8 scale though since I did the 17mm hubs.

Are you using the correct velineon motor? If using another brand, sometimes the shaft is a bit shorter. Also, make sure the pinion is in the correct position with the gear at the outer part.

I got it! I took the back off like you did and didn’t realize that little screw that the motor hinges on the body plate was caked up with dirt. This mfr RIPS now lol, such a dramatic difference.

So you should definitely replace the center diff with a slipper clutch from a slash. The motor and esc combo can be the velineon I used for easy compatibility but you can go with a hobbywing brushless combo. If you're using a 3s battery at some point, you should definitely get a motor fan as well, specially if using high pinion gear.

Every part of the axles are replaceable. Some parts are just harder to replace. I struggled with this one myself. Easiest way is to buy full halves of the axles instead of single pieces or the whole axle.

After the conversion you definitely can. That's why I bought the proline body mounts.

I definitely recommend replacing the center diff with slash 4x4 slipper clutch setup along with the 32pitch gears. Center diff doesn't hold much power.

I believe it was in the 30s. I have a 19/54 now and it's in the high 50s. It has a slash body now so the aero is not good and when it reaches that speed it wheelies and flips

@@odrctrx754 30mph with 2s sounds good. If 19/54 flies it is uncontrollable. I have Titan 12 T brushed engine I'm going to change it this week to Velineon 3500 and I'm going to put 13/54 to run off-road and bashing

I replaced spur with a slipper clutch amd 32 pitch 54t and pinion with 32 pitch 13t. That is the setup that comes with the slash lcg. I highly recommend replacing them.

You gotta change the gearing!

I used it for a few months and had small crack in the front and the spoiler holes suffered a bit. I had a few bad accidents and nothing terrible happened to the body.

It was great up until I converted it to a slah. I stiffened up the suspension just a bit after doing the hub conversion for on road wheels.

Unfortunately no. I've been waiting for the traxxas one but still not out there. I'm gonna buy a garmin or something soon.

I just used a GPS phone app and put the phone inside the car body. With the 15T pinion and 54T spur I get 30 mph on the 7 cell NiMH (8.4v) battery. Using a 3 cell lipo (11.1v) I get 42 mph. Fun, but in less than two weeks, about 10 runs, the tires are shot.

icin4d I had mine at 38 40 on 2s and 60+ on 6s before it Caught flight I had to upgrade the slipper clutch to a slash 4 x 4

I'm currently using 54T spur and 19T pinion on 32pitch. Using 3s lipo that's about what I'm running.

I'm still pretty new to RC. I got my first slash about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure how this setup is going to work out. Do you think I will need to change the clutch out? I am using a bigger motor by castle and a 4s lipo (If it works). I just watched a video where someone melted the stock clutch on 3s lipo. Also, I have a new slash 4x4 vxl slipper clutch left over. Will that fit? I know its way beefier than the one that comes on the rally ford fiesta

I would definitely use the slipper clutch. That's what I have on mine. I've seen people using the slipper clutch out of the rustle I believe it is when using a lot of power.

I think it was in the 30s with the 2s lipo battery.

I did notice the arms were different but I don't know if I'll change them or not. I might get another chassis.

@@odrctrx754 I only noticed after getting some rpm arms. They are still not on as I would have to change all the linkages. It might not matter anyway since the truck body looks good on it.

Rally's are awesome but I'm still waiting on traxxas gps module and I wanted to use it on the track. The slash is really good at the track. Someday the rally will be back 💪

yea i made my rally in to a monster rally with some 2.8 redcat valcano tires and that thang ramped every thing i just had slipper clutch problems
