TOTO does have a new revision of the adapter they released back in 2019. It's now entirely plastic and now has a cone washer built in. Haven't had any issue with the newest T adapter. They now include either a gray or black t adapter

Thank you for the tip I use rubber cone and it looks like fix the problem but I still have slow leak I mean wet surrounding the tip of junction after maybe after 3 hrs I try to tighten the screw more and add Teflon tape other than that I don’t know what else I should do. Any suggestion?

Thank you for this...I got stuck for hours with the exact issue and was so angry last night. Feels good to know I wasn’t alone AND there’s a fix. I guess I’ll mask up and go to the hardware store today. Shame on you Toto!

Glad you found a solution that worked. I just installed the S500 and had a terrible time screwing on the adaptor to the toilet. It kept cross threading. I finally took the tank off so I could work on it easier. I noticed that all my attempts had damaged the threads. I took a triangular file and repaired the threads and was then able to finally screw it on with just my hand. Once it starts correctly it screws on that easy. I haven't seen yours but I would bet if you had to use a wrench after barely getting it started you also cross threaded it. Then the washer they provided wouldn't seat properly and it would leak. Your cone washer would solve that problem.

Adding on my thanks for this video, and will add some additional info. I think some of the problem might happen when buying the Toto toilet and the Washlet separately. The toilet itself comes with a plastic tank fill valve coupler (like this: www.acehardware.com/departments/plumbing/toilets/toilet-repair-parts/4071007?x429=true&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIm6O4897N6AIVtY1bCh2H9Ak3EAQYAyABEgLRY_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds ). The toilet also comes with a rubber cone washer - in fact, they came in the same plastic bag with nothing else in it. I guess you’d maybe use this if you didn’t have a washlet, but since we’re using the t-connector for he washlet, I didn’t use it. I opened it up and it had a perfectly sized rubber cone washer that wedged itself up into the tank intake pipe. I did need to use the fiber washer as well (first try without the green fiber washer caused a big leak). Anyway, think it works now, so thanks again.

Oh man thank you! I'm going to buy some and try them out. I've just fitted a mechanical bidet attachment to my toilet, and the cold water t fitting went on just fine and doesn't leak. But the one to the hot water pip is being a nightmare. I even used some plumbers tape on the thread, which usually does the trick. But no help this time at all. Thanks dude :)

With the cones set, did you / anyone hand tighten it or recommend using a wrench?

The cone washers work. After numerous attempts with the original washer, I stumbled across this. After buying the cone washers and using some thread sealer, the leaking stopped. I wasted about 5 hours using the Toto washers, they should include cone washers instead.

When connecting this 3-way adaptor, wrap the male threads clockwise with a few winds of teflon tape. The intentionally loose/spinning tightening nut simply ‘pulls’ the connected hose tight to the male-threaded nipple of your toilet tank. When spun on and tightened, everything tightens-up. The white teflon tape seals the THREADS and prevents water (under pressure) from seeping past and causing dribbling leaks. Do not over-tighten because this will distort the fitting and cause it to go out-of-round (or worse, and ultimately leak). Hand snug/tighten, then tighten with a wrench just a bit more to ensure the connection doesn’t loosen itself over time. Teflon tape costs nothing and can be purchased even at WalMart. Goid luck!

If you are putting this on a non Toto toilet then suggest you buy "TOTO THU9090R 6-Inch WASHLET Hose Extension Kit for C110/E200/S300/S400 WASHLET" vs. doing this work around. The adapter is needed as the threading on the Toto is different from say an American Standard which is why it leaks. This adapter took minutes vs. hours trying to solve this from the above.

Thanks so much for this video. I had the same problem with the t-connector included with my S550e. I spent 3 days of frustration trying to solve this problem. When I saw your video, I rushed over to Home Depot to pick up the same washers. In my first attempt, I put one of the cone washers on top of the fiber washer Toto provided as you mentioned. Unfortunately, my connector still leaked. On the next attempt, I took out the fiber washer from Toto and used only the rubber cone washer. I also put some teflon tape on the threads. Between the rubber cone washer and the teflon tape, my leak was finally solved. (So far) I keep looking at it every day to make sure it’s not leaking. You really shouldn’t have to do that with a $1000 toilet seat. You would think a company that makes toilets would have solved this problem. The bidet seat itself is 5 stars.

I am going crazy!! I am so grateful I found this video.. This is exactly my problem.. the grey plastic part of the T Connector spins around..is that NORMAL?? If not..then my T connector came broken.. Please let me know.. If it's normal for the grey plastic part to spin then I will get a cone washer.. THANK YOU for this!!

Just getting ready to install an s300. I bought the cone washer selection at home depot today but it has three different shapes of washers. could you tell me which one you used? That would be a great help. Thanks Bob
