In your opinion is this new Astra better than the Astra "K" I have had many Vauxhalls over the years ( I'm in my 70's ) and I really do not like the look of this new Astra and I really do not like the dash board. Would like to hear your honest views.

The front seats have gone from meh to great with the extendable seat base.

I always thought that the Fiat 500x (which this car most resembles), should have been badged 600. As for the 500L, it owes more in its styling to the Panda rather than the 500 and should have been called tge Giant Panda.

The new 1.5 engine is in 3 cylinders and has 186 hp. 🙂

Yes. It certainly needs a graphics update. The car drives like a big car with its indirect steering and big turning circle. It is really set up for country driving rather than for city cut and thrust. The boot is smaller than it looks and there is only a touch opening on the driver's side. Having said this, it is very well made, good looking and pleasant to drive. It is very good value with all the driving features in the base model such as rear cross traffic automatic braking and very good lane centering.

Finally just what we needed, the original Berlingo was just slightly not up to scratch with the 154 mile range, where as now the 198 mile range is a 150 mile range all weathers and fully laiden. Perfect for throwing bikes and dogs in the back. One of the EV criticism's for me is that swoopy sporty low roof lines in other models that means most cars are not dog friendly. I wonder if heated seats are not optional i suspect not, but that is a minor thing. Plus great video and review style to the point and factual.

You can easily side load apps via APK on a USB and put all Android apps on this.

I wonder why these new EV's all have to to look futuristic with odd lights and try rather successfully to make driving then as hard as possible by loosing the traditional controls whereby everyone once could just jump into any car end drive it rather then having to learn all the controls before starting off? Well, perhaps it's because I'm a Ludite, I hate changes so...roll on the Robotaxi's.

I am considering an EV but what I need is the largest possible boot as I need to carry a Disability buggy that doesn’t tear down for convenience! I also need one seat for a passenger so unless I can find something suitable, I’ll be going for a Land Cruiser.

I've watched several video reviews of the LBX and yours is the only one which is somewhat dismissive of the quality of the interior feel. It is a good, comprehensive review but every other reviewer has lavished praise on the cabin. Just saying.

In the UK, the considerable emissions from the Wankel are not measured in an MOT test (hybrids are exempt) This needs to change!

The all electric mx 30 had a pretty disapointing electric range so they have made this with less than half the electric range,oops now if they still had the 100 mile electric range with this system , success...what ev car makers seem to have forgotten is charging at home is the cheap to run and convenient bit, now i know people will say ,what if you cant charge at home, simple dont get an ev.

You forgot to mention the very much longer charging port time on the ''Across''. The RAV 4 does a full charge in 2.5 hours, the ''Across'' does it in over double that time (I think 5 hour plus plus ???) so longer, much longer to charge up on the Suzuki. The RAV 4/ Across is an accomplished SUV and I would say that the load in the boot is more like 520 litres with seats up. For clarity.

I would really love to get back another one.
