I hope that the DLC could involve Wujing. The main game is definitely around Wukong, and Wuneng is an important NPC, but Wujing is gone missing. If possible, of course, I would be glad to see Sanzang as well.

It's like they think that remastering games is the safest bet? Well evidently it's not. People are still losing their jobs. This industry has become a place where people are viewed as numbers on a spreadsheet. And if they don't make the cash they go on the chopping block. It's really sickening to think about.

"thanks for all your hard work now get out" so the higher ups can reap all the profits before the game hits the market, and the devs get nothing. Every time people talk about politics ruining video games when it's shareholders ruining the industry

It is kind of wild. We just saw the Visions of Mana studio literally shut down and shuttered the day their game released. And now we’re taking it a step further and firing people (I refuse to say ‘laid off’) even before their big project launches. This is why budgets are so bloated and why we have a revolving door of talent, making many games feel like an incohesive mess devoid of passion and vision as it’s patched together by staff coming in and out just making a paycheck on contract.

This and Last of Us are just such wastes of resources. Taking arguably 2 of the best looking games and ‘remaking’ them is such a weird decision and it’s no surprise they’re not popular. Until Dawn original still looks insanely good in the Decima Engine (still no idea why they moved to Unreal Engine for the remake either). No one is going to shell out 60 dollars for this thing. An 8 hour game that you can experience right now and already looks phenomenal. Now, I’m sure the remake will look amazing but it’s such a misuse of remake resources. I’m part of the problem as I’m still buying it due to being financially irresponsible, lol. But still. I never paid for the first one, got it in PS Plus Collection at the PS5’s launch. So I’m not out anything. But it is such an unnecessary remake and everything wrong with the remake scene lately.

Idk about other countries but where I am the original is 34.95 and the remake is 124.95 so if I do try it out I’m getting the original.

my only hope for the DLC...is to obtain the missing 6 transformations, so we can have a complete set of Zodiac Transformations we already have - Horse/Dark Thunder - Tiger/Ebon Flow - Dog/Red Tides - Monkey/Umbral Abyss (or Azure Dome) - Dragon/Golden Lining - Rat/Ashen Slumber I mean, the game even sort of teased us with 2 potential transformations for Pig & Ox, yet we never got them - the Wushan Lesser Guai that Bajie turns us into in Chapter 4 could have been a Pig transformation - the Pale-Axe Stalwart from Chapter 5 could have been an Ox transformation then there was Rabbit, Snake, Goat & Rooster that we could have gotten transformations for they kinda missed out on the idea of making the transformations themed around the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals...yet still included 6 of the 12, and one of those 6 is a literal zodiac

I think that at least one of the DLC locations would have to be in the Celestial Realm as it is mentioned many times and is one of the most important places in the lore. Plus the games last line is literally "Our final toast before we invade the Celestial Palace!" Which yes did happen in the original story but I also think that it is a hint by the developers as to where we are going in the DLC. I hope that I am right because it could be an amazing zone to see/explore.
