Day 14 Back to St Vincent
มุมมอง 25ปีที่แล้ว
Bequia back to St Vincent. First drop off Debra so she could continue her adventure. Then sail through the washing machine, dump a bunch of water through the front window into the kitchen, and get back safe and sound. Return the boat to Thor. Then have a really nice afternoon and evening relaxing, having a great dinner and more card playing. A great time.

Day 8 of the great adventure. Leaving Canouan with very good stories, heading to Union Island, Clifton Harbour, with lots of reefs, rocks, kite boarders, a cool harbour and town. Good food too. And there was Happy Island of which I sadly have no pictures. But it was very cool.
day 7 bequia to canouan

Leaving bequia early, heading to canouan for a four hour, slightly rigorous sail. explored places to hang out with the boat, visited the expensive marina, went back to charlestown bay. had the epic sketchy fish dinner on the beach, many stories from this. settling the tab with multiple currencies was highly entertaining. hung out on the boat in the evening. nobody cried

First boat is a single rowing scull, not a kayak. Note the outriggers for sculling oars.

Yes. This is Port Townsend, Washington. On the north tip of the Olympic Peninsula, about 15 miles south of Victoria British Columbia. Thanks for watching!

That beautiful cream yellow and brightwork trimmed outboard cruiser at 7:21 grabbed my attention! Anyone know any details on this one?

I went through all my photos and I do not have any more information on that boat. I will ask my buddy Kurt who seems to know about every boat that ever existed. I'll let you know if he has any info. Thanks for watching.

Commonly known as a skiff, tedious boat to build well. And very, very complicated to repair; in my days these were considered a write-off for competition. The only reason to repair to make it a training boat for the newer rowers.

I was there ... in the "Snake-Pit" area with a new friend that just graduated from, I think, North Central. I was a few days from graduation from Lawrence Central High in Indianapolis. I remember it was an overcast day...light mist at race time start, then at the start of the "500", race driver, Jim Malloy had his car to sway off just out of the fourth turn. Thus, a few laps of "yellow light driving" had slowed up a bit the beginnings, yet, Al Unser won his first of four in his years at I.M.S. My favorite was Foyt..."destined" to win his fourth at Indy in what "auto racing experts" thought - every four years he wins the "500". Yet, A.J. came in 9th I think (or was that "Uncle Bobby" Unser in the top ten finish...without looking it up as the finishers). Anyway, Mark Donahue came in second but, Al, led nearly the whole race (190 out of 200 laps) Love these " home movies" of events in history. The styles of clothing and how they did not have ... any hand held phones, just, transistor radios and good old fashion cameras. Thanks for posting this video.
