This woodpecker has been coming to this tree quite frequently this year, sometimes several times a day. It keeps the tree healthy by feeding on insects, bugs and larvae from the tree. In this video, the woodpecker is showing its alertness by occasionally glancing over to make sure there is no one coming over. Very smart animal.
