From Shiny Objects to Sacred Focus: Strategies to Stay Aligned with Your Big Vision
As heart-centered women entrepreneurs, distractions can often keep us from doing the deep, meaningful work that truly moves the needle in our businesses (and helps us fulfill our soul’s potential). In this episode, I’m sharing powerful practices and perspectives to help you overcome shiny object syndrome, busy work, and life’s daily distractions.
We’ll start by reconnecting to your bigger vision and breaking it down into actionable steps for today. I’ll guide you through a process of scheduling sacred, focused time, and introduce you to practical tools like accountability, prayer, and working with your inner parts using Internal Family Systems (IFS).
This episode also offers insights into consistency and how small, steady actions lead to long-term success. Whether you’re struggling to start or just need help staying the course, you’ll walk away with tools to stay grounded, focused, and aligned with what matters most.
Tune in and learn how to shift from feeling scattered to stepping into your true work with clarity and purpose!
And, as a special gift, I want to offer you free access to one of my most popular programs, “Getting Out of Your Own Way” (an IFS Daily Parts Meditation Kit to help you cultivate inner wholeness, harmony, and Self-Leadership at the start of each day).

How to Know When to Invest in Your Business

    I really appreciate the straightforward way he speaks about unattached burdens, and the recognition that this concept is understood in virtually every culture but our own. It takes courage to speak publicly about this stuff but it is so important!

    Such a fascinating fascinating interview. Brilliant on-the-ball listening/questioning, and really really incredible work from Robert Falconer. This is going to shock the west big time. As someone who came into meditation through "A Beginner's Mind" by DT Suzuki (Please go and meditate the whole thing. do it in bits if you have to... or parts should i say...!!!) I am absolutely totally and utterly blown away to discover Emmanuel Swedensbourg through Robert, and to hear this comparison to no less than Buddha by THE DT Suzuki. Utterly insane.. If you know you know. I can't help but note how totally accessible the language that IFS provides- namely, its use of the word 'parts', eg "it just wasn't a part of me," - it seems as though every step of the process is designed to be as empowering as possible. Questioning these parts of yourself is absolutely a simple thing to comprehend for I think anybody, and even throughout the course of this conversation I found myself following suit and noticing the immediate compulsive evasiveness and bitterness etc. Really mind blowing stuff It is I think in Unattached Burdens / the surrounding area of thought's great fortune then that the language provided is just as accessible and logical, and the more I think about it, the more logical it becomes. This dark, haziness which exists in places within our mind is difficult to touch; it feels not empty, but emptying, like the words to describe it become more and more scarce; it even seems to coincide with itches... - one could assume from this description quite clearly that it is both unattached (ie, not readily graspable), and a burden (it makes me uncomfortable). Thank you both!

    I'm half way through your latest book, so much of its content resonates with my experiences. Makes me wonder in a positive, helpful way, but also disturb me to think that there are lost, suffering souls out there ready to harm people. It goes very much against the beliefs that the afterlife is a peaceful place for all. Would love others opinion on this matter pls 🙏 ❤

    • @catherinehollingsworth4614
      @catherinehollingsworth4614 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      My personal experience is that there is a process that spirits must go through upon dying to transcend to the peaceful place (the light) and some spirits or souls do not feel worthy, do not know they are dead, or want to stay here for some reason which is likely detrimental (vengeance, attachment to earthly pleasures etc). But the invisible world has a varied population and different types need different approaches to remove them from a client’s space and/or to heal them. Some spiritual practitioners will actually consider those beings their clients (rather than the patient who came in with them).

    This should have more views. Ive met a ton of people both personally and through work who have wpent a fortune paying for therapy with psychologists who have zero understanding of trauma ,abuse, entities etc. The only therapists or coaches I have seen help people are those who like Robert Falconer had experience working through their own devastating traumas and who understand the complexity of it. I also firmly believe that every single person who does work with these things have had one or more forms of spiritual experiences and ESP. It does not surprise me that Robert had thise near death experiences and that it was traumatic to be sent back by that female presence. I often wonder about similar situations and why it happens. Was it because he had a role in this world to do the work he has done to understand and teach others about UBs? I wish this stuff was a part of the western medicine practice in both psychiatry, psychology and allopathic medicine. I wish i could have sessions with Robert!

    This is such a wonderful, tender discussion. I understand in the west there is so much fear around what feels irrational. For me as an IFS therapist who intuitively gets the idea we all have loving guides, these UBs seem like an opposite energies who don’t have a loving intention. Having previously trained with Marion Woodman (a well known author in the Jungian world) I get everything (or parts )have an equal and opposite energy e.g light and dark, full and empty etc. It really resonated with me when you said these entities are really a form of lost soul’s and can be treated with compassion (having got frightened pts to give you space) Thank you so much for staying with this important work despite others fear and so their judgement. ❤️👏x

    Yes, Me also. Many years ago. I also willingly have discussions with women, when asked or prompted, about abortion. I was 31, not married, and on birth control. I remember I had been on St Johns Wort herbs, which 6 months after the fact, was announced the findings reduced the efficiency of birth control in controlled lab discoveries, by 50%. Well, lucky me, I was that 51%, that ended up pregnant with my long term, live in Boyfriend at the time. I decided, on a personal level, I did not feel comfortable with having a child with HIM at the time, for exactly all the same reasons and discoveries you went through. I accept my decision today, for exactly that, my decision. I dont care what others think, re life/death, it was my decision. Things happen, even to the "most prepared, most careful, most responsible" people. It's not always about trauma, rape, drugs, alcohol, prostitution, carelessness, sexual misconduct. It can just "happen". And that's what happened with me. I'm ok with my decision today, although like you, there was a grieving process. Now, I am 58, and in menopause, and children are no longer a viable option. Thank you for putting this important topic on your podcast. Everyone handles this subject in their own way. No one, can tell another how to feel about their own personal experience. But we can all help each other by sharing our experiences.

You send me your Yoga TTC ad two times and that led me to do Yoga TTC with yogaworks and waste 7000 dollars which in todays money is 30000 US dollars. And those like you yogaworks are exploiting me using an organisation thats stealing my subscribers help. I should be a retired software engineer living in California enjoying subscribers who are genuinely interested and independent. I demand compensatory damages from you and yogaworks and US DHS for partnering with this crime of using my money using my websites and portraying a false story and having me attacked in palakkad many times and destroying my yoga body and preventing me flowering sexually as a healthy male less faeces heterosexual enjoying sexual coitus and fathering children. I have been prevented by criminals like you to be with those i am evolved to be with in California and forced to live where i dont relate to anyone. I am as capable as larry page mark zuckerberd and contributed as much to WWW companies and i have only 300 dollars while they are billionares and its because of organised crime using my website that i suspect you to be partner of. Sara this is so amazing! The similarities in our journeys! <3 I also (involuntarily) came across strippers and a strip club, of which i now only see the relevance. Of course! I was being confronted with my resistance and boundaries regarding the experience of my own sexuality... I cannot express in words how grateful I am today for coming across your story, after so many months of feeling alone and misunderstood. The fact that there is another woman in the world who went through the exact same journey, feels like an affirmation...like a message saying "it's okay...you're entitled to be here and to live your story...even if nobody around you understands it". That "love going through your body"-experience, is exactly what I've felt several times throughout watching this beautiful journey. You're amazing! And soooo incredibly courageous for sharing those vulnerable parts of the feminine inner world! You're a true inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I look forward to reading your book.
