Out of the 73 sects of the Muslims as reported by Rasulullah(SAW), the believer must busy himself with aligning his soul with the only sect that is Saved. In islam, There is no declaration of any evil state of anyone without irrefutable authentic evidence based on Quran, Sunnah , the understanding and application of The Sahaba. Any less than this demands silence.
The Term "Salaf", which is the basis for Salafi and Salafiyyah....was spoken by our Prophet(SAW) when he(SAW) said to his beloved daughter, "How excellent a SALAF(an elder source of guidance)I am to you". Sahih Muslim 2450
Likewise, those who ascribe to Salafiyyah are by doing so, linking themselves to the most pure and authentic sources in this Deen.....Quran(Speech Of Allah), Authentic Ahadith(the explanations and correct application of the Speech of Allah,executed by His Messenger{SAW})...... and all with the understanding that Sahaba derived from that which Rasulullah(SAW) taught to them.
