Questions for small groups: (Before you begin remember to ask one another what you have been reading in the Bible) Read: Matthew 21:23-32 * Jesus does a great job in trapping the chief priests and elders with his question. Try and explain to one another why they cant answer? Why it ties them up in Knots? * John the Baptist was a profit proclaiming the new thing God is doing. What new thing might God be doing now? In His creation, in His church, in this local church? * Have there been times when you have responded to God doing a new thing in the same way as the Chief Priests and Elders? * In the parable we meet the 2 sons. Can you think of a time when you have behaved like the first son? Can you think of a time when you have behaved like the second son? * As followers of Jesus how are we most in danger of being like the chief priests and elders? Try tell it together In what ways can we relate the Christian life to the story of Exodus?
