Both bikes were purchased from Funbikes, the customer service has been very good so far! One of the bikes unfortunately had a split fuel tank, they sent a replacement out next day. When putting on a full exhaust or anything relating to midpipe do I need to get a servo buddy or just take off the wires and hang them up. I looked forever and cannot find a real answer. I have a full akra shorty system for my 13 s1000rr and I need to know if cutting them and hanging them up but not removing them causes any check engines or problems?
Hey how long it takes only to decat and to get rebuild it?You dont get any errors on the screen? is the engine still smooth or its lazy and the low rpms? I just ordered it and im a bit scared about it😣😀 Ty.
Why was it impossible to fit the decat pipe without removing headers? Parts just arrived today, I’ll be taking this on project in the next few days!
@@SpaceManDan Just finished the project right now! 6 in recip blade made fairly quick work of it. You were right, cutting upward is much easier. You had me worried there for a second! Required a little pressure to get the header into collector pipe but nothing excessive. Very happy with it. Thanks for your walkthrough though. Gave me a good idea of what I was getting into 👍👍👍

Great video - thank you for taking the time to film and upload it! Noticed my pistons had a bit of corrosion on when I did a basic clean a few months back, so might make this job a winter project (that and adding gel to the seat!). I presume you had to flush the fluid afterwards, and issues with the ABS system when doing that, or is it as straightforward as a NON-ABS flush? Cheers

What tail unit was originally on the bike?
Fairing? It was a gsxr k3 fairing. The metal tail section was original.

Hey awesome videos! really like to learn from them. Im currently stripping my SV 650s to build it up as a Race bike again. Can you explain what modification you did on your sub frame ? is it a original sub but cut down ?
Hey buddy thanks! Check out parts 1,2,3 and they go through the subframe modification. Honestly id buy an already made cutdown subframe for around £50 online through the minitwin/sv650 facebook groups :)

Hey Grant, bike has been overall very good reliablity wise. Only issues (both bikes) have had is split fuel tanks, £30 for a replacement and pretty easy to do. I've also swapped the shock spring out for a heavier one and adelin master cylinder for improved braking. Will try and do a video update soon!

It was from Ebay but i dont think they do it now. (And it was very expensive) if you join some sv650 pages on Facebook you'll find people who sell them for half the price!
