Dedicated to educating and entertaining viewers on Bass Fishing in Texas. We may fish for other species, but very little. Our desire and pursuit is to catch largemouth bass in many different lakes across Texas.

Water temp was 87°. 1st fish of the morning. She slammed this lake fork 10" worm. Strike King wobble head with the trokar hook.

With all of the flooding in May, and the rain before the day we arrived, it allowed us to take full advantage of "current"! These fish were ready feeding heavily on Shad. We were throwing Strike King 1.5s and 2.5s in shad colors, bouncing them off of the rocks and the bass were just hammering them. Clip from Saturday, May 30, 2015. Caught this 5lb'r on a GrandeBass Snake-O, blue fleck color. Right after a storm came through, the water was flowing, and the bass were biting.

Been 13 years since I have been on my "home" lake. Lake was 8 feet above pool. A lot of flooded brush, grass and trees. It looked awesome, but it made fishing tough, plus it rained a lot while I was down there. Fish were caught on blue fleck worms, Spro poppin' frog, and Strike King Caffeine shad. Want people to have a small view of how beautiful and neat this lake is, and see a few fish. This lake is fantastic. The large hills, green water, hydrilla everywhere, beautiful houses and docks. Just a neat lake. Watched a guy catch an 8lb bass from the dock using a live perch for bait. The bass are everywhere.
Bass on Umbrella Rigs 2014

First time to actually catch bass on an Umbrella rig. Watched on TV and in person. It was a lot of fun! We caught a lot of large mouth and hybrid bass within 90 minutes. Front was blowing in from the west, and the wind laid for a little bit allowing us to drift and slow roll those umbrella rigs.

Quick video from August. Baits used were the River2Sea Bubble Walker 128 (5") and the Rage Cut R Worm in June Bug color. I lost a 5.8 or 6 lb'r previous to the one I caught. Have to excuse the way my cap was being worn. It was HOT. All fish were caught near the dam near Goat Island, along the damn, and on the last point headed toward the dam.

No Hydrilla in Lake Austin anymore. Carp ate it all. Water clarity is now down to 2 feet and the fish are getting skinnier and skinnier because of lack of food. Its sad how great it used to be and the carp wrecked it
Wow.... I had no idea. That is horrible news. I had so much fun on that lake and looked forward to returning this spring, but it doesn't sound like it is worth my time. Better off going somewhere else. Thanks for the message/information.
No problem. Its very sad. Fishing can still be good, but its definitely not like it used to be.
That was my first experience, and I love fishing hydrilla. Once they get adjusted, I am sure the fish will come back strong. What is one of you favorite lakes to fish?
Amazing Video! That's awesome you caught two at once. I'm moving down to Temple, TX in a week from NY and can't wait to fish during the "winter months" and actually expect some bites. When do the bass usually enter a pre-spawn pattern down there?

I feel like the boat ramp cove should be a great start. The bass, catfish, tilapia, and bait are all over the lake right now. Water temp in that cove is still 70 degrees, so the baitfish are alive and well in in there.@LaMonte Wyche

We threw weightless senkos all day! My batteries ran out and I didn't take time to charge more, but we caught so many more. Thanks for the kind words and for watching.
