Fabulous - important reinterpretation of the old song which was bias towards blaming the woman in the 60s folk scene (USA) - FRankie - please see bandcamp message

Saw you on Jools's show last night. Didn't know the song but found your voice, accent, and violin playing quite hypnotic. Your subscriber count on YT is startlingly low. Maybe it will increase after your performance on Later?
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed my performance!

On my car DAB rodio yesterday... The littlin knocked it on to. FOLK radio. Which I would normally choose last, out of the blue came the most amazingly beautiful sounds.. Does anyone know the History of this piece as I heard it was originally 200 years old.
Thank you for the lovely words Vinchenzo! The folk tune you hear in the piece, I found it in a digitised manuscript called “A Favourite Collection of Tunes with Variations adapted for the Northumberland small pipes, violin or flute’" (catchy name), also known as 'Peacocks Tunes'. It's from around 1800 so the tune might even be older.
@@frankiearchermusic ah great.. Wouldn't mind a listen. Of that Frankie, where do you play next? I like alot of the Morris dancing music.
