Sunset at Huntington Beach
The sunset at Huntington Beach was absolutely mesmerizing. The sky was painted warm shades of orange and pink as the sun slowly dipped below the horizon. The soft and golden clouds seemed to reflect the light perfectly, while the water below mirrored the sky’s beauty. With the tide out, the wet sand shimmered like a natural mirror. The gentle waves rolled in with a soothing rhythm, and the whole scene felt calm and peaceful like nature was pausing to take in the moment. It was one of those sunsets that left me feeling completely at peace.
As I enjoyed the calm and surreal sunset, I managed to capture this spectacular view using my Sony ZV1 and DJI Action 5 Pro. Let me know what you think! Star Trails in Trona Pinnacles
มุมมอง 25วันที่ผ่านมา
The Trona Pinnacles, a surreal landscape in California’s Mojave Desert, provides an otherworldly backdrop for capturing star trails. These ancient tufa formations, towering above the desert floor, create a striking contrast against the night sky. Here are a few time-lapses I captured over the past couple of years.
Timeless Skies

This is a collection of fascinating cloud movements I’ve captured over the past couple of years, both from local spots near my home and distant locations in Utah. Most of these time-lapses weren’t pre-planned; I assessed the conditions on-site and decided to capture a time-lapse. This spontaneous approach has inspired me to plan more carefully for future projects. I hope you enjoy the collectio...

Here’s a collection of timelapse videos and star trails I captured at one of my favorite places, Joshua Tree National Park. Point Vicente Lighthouse
มุมมอง 38หลายเดือนก่อน
I took this timelapse of Point Vicente Lighthouse in early February. The forecast had called for cloudy skies, and I was hoping for a spectacular sunset, but that didn't happen. Even though the sunset was underwhelming, I still managed to capture a decent timelapse. The highlight was getting footage of @robin.at.tam, a Hollywood stunt pilot, flying his helicopter, which added some excitement to...
Sunset Timelapse at Huntington Beach, iPhone 15 Vs Sony ZV1
มุมมอง 87หลายเดือนก่อน
As you know, I’m exploring timelapse photography and wanted to experiment with capturing the same scene using two different setups. This time, I used my iPhone 15 and my Sony ZV1. I didn’t clock the exact duration, so the timelapses aren’t of the same length. The iPhone timelapse was recorded as a straight video and lightly edited in DaVinci Resolve, while for the ZV1, I took about 800 photos, ...
Fish Rock Under the Stars
มุมมอง 35หลายเดือนก่อน
On the way to the Pinnacles in Trona, there's a spot with a group of rock boulders that looks like a school of fish peeking just above the water. I've driven past this spot several times before on my way to Trona. During one of my trips, I decided to try a timelapse. My first attempt was at sunset, but it didn’t work well because the surrounding mountains cast shadows, and the sky was too brigh...
Crescent Bay Point
มุมมอง 2.2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
An interesting and relaxing evening at one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach, Crescent Bay Point. I spent the entire time leading up to sunset capturing this timelapse. Of course, since it’s a popular spot, I had to navigate around curious onlookers and occasional conversations with people asking about my setup. Otherwise, it was a pleasant evening, and I had a great time creating this timel...
Sunrise Reflection in Lake Manly

Death Valley NP, famous for extreme heat, saw rare rains in late 2023, filling Badwater Basin with water, forming "Lake Manly," echoing ancient mega lake. Original Lake Manly existed thousands of years ago, teeming with life. Recent flooding briefly revived Death Valley, attracting visitors to kayak on shallow waters. However, rapid evaporation ended the experience by March 2024. Despite its br...

The Smoke Dance

This is a geothermal plant near the Salton Sea. I've visited this area several times and have always wanted to do time-lapse photography, but I never quite managed to accomplish it. Either I was with a group of other photographers, or there wasn’t much happening at the geothermal plant. This time, however, It was a solo trip. After meeting a few bird photographers at the nearby Sonny Bono Wildl...
Star Trails at Arch Rock
มุมมอง 37หลายเดือนก่อน
Star trails in one of my favorite spots, Arch Rock, in Joshua Tree National Park. The night was calm and quiet, and the sky felt endless. I was almost entirely alone out there-just me and the stars, with only a few curious late-night hikers passing by with their flashlights briefly lighting up the desert. Camera Used: Sony ZV1 Location: Arch Rock, Joshua Tree National Park
Noctilucent Clouds and Star Trails
มุมมอง 112หลายเดือนก่อน
I spent an unforgettable night photographing the ethereal beauty of noctilucent clouds and star trails over Desert Queen Mine in Joshua Tree National Park. The whole process was as surreal as the scene itself. As the clouds drifted in the darkening sky and stars traced their paths overhead, it was truly magical.
