Oh no, another one who can't get it right. After installing the timing belt, turn the crankshaft 2 turns to check that the marking is still correct. And the belt tensioner must be turned with an Allen key to the left, otherwise the belt will be poorly tensioned when the engine warms up. You see an arrow on the belt tensioner which way it should be turned. See 12.22 in the film.

Hello! Thanks for a very good video. I changed the Cam Belt with accessories plus Water Pump on my Daughter's Volvo V70 Year Model 2008, this weekend. And I tensioned the Cam belt by turning the tensioner clockwise. If it is "Wrong" direction I have turned? What can happen then? You show in the video that you should turn clockwise. And so did I. But you have written that this Video applies to model years from 2009 to 2017. But my Volvo V70, on which I changed the timing belt, is a model year 2008. (D5244T5). Diesel engine. Thanks! That tensioner is an anti clockwise tightening one and was different to what you did,seen this mistake happen so many times.

I'm after a video on the timing pins. As struggling to understand when you lock the crank, it moves 1 & a half teeth. Putting the pin in, turning anti clock wise, or block wise. No one is doing this.

Really informative thank you. Is there a danger with this version of the D5 of Aux Belt failure damaging the Timing Belt or is the timing belt now protected.

Another idea - remove the rear wiper and you are left with a small hole. Look for a round screw in camera and install it into the hole. That's what I will be doing. I've just got the hole plugged ATM.

Awesome. What if I don't have a multimeter? I have an alternative to test the fuse but if the fuse is good, how can I confirm the pump itself prior to establishing of it is indeed my washer motor that needs replacement?

Did a replacement yesterday the tip of taping the torx head into the spanner was gold! A tip I cab offer is if the belt is good once the tension is off the belt then slip it off the PAS pulley and cable tie the belt forward to the adjacent steel frame. saves so much trouble with dealing with the belt. dod the whole job including bleeding new fluid in 2hrs !

If you can get hold of some net curtain wire which is plastic coated ,this is very flexible and works really well feeding cables through tight spaces

Jay B I just fitted a reverse camera to my Caddy and had to put a relay to power the camera when the engine is running and it works good but cuts out when an indicator is switched on. Do you know what may be causing that?
