Thank you for your kind comment! For negative film with ISO 400, I usually start with f/8 and 1/1000 on sunny days. In rainy weather or shade, I roughly adjust by about +3 to +4 stops from the base of f/8 and 1/1000. (The exposure for the print in this video was f/4 and 1/250.) When I want to measure more accurately, I use an analog light meter. So, you've recently started using a film camera, right? Black-and-white printing is a very enjoyable creative process. I continue shooting film because I love working in the darkroom. I hope this helps! Enjoy your photography!

Nikko has deep historical ties to Buddhism and Shintoism, so I believe there are many places that foreign visitors can find fresh and enjoyable. The walk to find the lilies was full of discoveries, making it a delightful experience. The combination of the bamboo trellis and Yamayuri seemed to capture the essence of Nikko, which inspired me to photograph it. Hello. The mountains are full of bird songs this season, making it the best time to be there. The mountains in Nikko are cool, but you need to be careful of mountain leeches. I've seen bears in the mountains a few times; they are very beautiful animals and I love them, though they are quite scary. Have a great week!

The Latham snipe's call is truly special, and I was also surprised when I heard it for the first time. On this day, I was lucky enough to see it several times. To encounter such good fortune, it’s best to go during times when there are few people around. Experiencing the birds' songs amidst the tranquility and beautiful nature of Senjogahara was indeed a precious experience. By the way, I started my walk at 4:30 AM that day. Yatsugatake is one of my favorite mountains, and I used to climb it often. It's a wonderful mountain that I would like to visit again if I get the chance. I wish you all the best. hoiさん、こんばんは。コメントありがとうございます。家のほうでは今回の降雪で30㎝以上積もり、溶けても無くまだ雪の中といった感じです。映像のカワガラスはとても活発で短時間で川虫を何回も捕まえていました。自然豊かな場所で観察出来る喜びを感じます。河川敷は相変わらず種類豊富ですね。以外にも今季初アトリでした。

Thank you for your wonderful comment. Since winter has arrived, I've been wanting to go bird watching even more. My current wish is to see many kinds of wild birds in Nikko. The kingfisher is the "Nikko City Bird" designated by Nikko City, but I personally believe that the Dipper is the Nikko City bird, and is a very familiar and beloved species that can often be seen when visiting Nikko's beautiful rivers. Be careful of the cold.
