Thanks for the comment! We only took it out for about 10 minutes playing around and it seems awesome with only having the basic BL-2S combo. The best part is that it includes a 3500mah 2s for a complete rtr package

I am so pumped to have some fun with the new Mini Maxx. You’re right having 2 feet of snow already makes it somewhat tricky haha!

This release is somewhat out of left field we find as well. Especially with it getting over shadowed by the 4s version. The only thing we can see it trying to compete with is the 3s Typhon maybe

Judging by it being a skill level 1 vehicle, I would say a beginner.

Yeah , just get a 3s typhon and they’re good to go out for the box like a 4s outcast and granite are three cars that really needed Nothjng but a rear steel diff and pinion on the 3s but the new ones come with all that and a center diff which is actually even more of a deal @$329 imo despite the 2in1 esc receiver .

These trucks will include lights preinstalled in the front and rear bumpers but they will have no headlights pre installed in the body

Out of the box it will use a Traxxas 4s compatible connector.

With Team Associated coming back with all of these vintage re release cars as well as parts support it is the perfect time to get some older kits back in working order to have an amazing display piece and then like you said get another for some running as well!

Thanks for the comment, from our experience the battery voltage will also play a factor in how long a battery will run for. We found the 2s was pretty slow and could eat through a pack much quicker as you were full throttle most of the pack, we seen some increase on a 3s for run time and got around 15-20 minutes on a pack and the 4s we only squeaked out around 20-25 minutes due to the increase of weight. We were lucky on some of our test days we had little wind and glass like water conditions which allowed us to run mostly full throttle even on the larger 4s packs.

Thank you so much for the comment! We are finding the same issue with the full bodied vehicle so maybe have to do some sort of a buggy conversion in the future?? Great minds think alike! In the next video we are looking at the new brushless system from Traxxas as well as some more brass parts for the front end. We have a couple left in the goodies box we haven't installed yet : brass steering link, brass diff cover, steering knuckles as well as caster blocks. We may break them up and toss in a Power HD servo as well so maybe 2 more videos just doing that but we will see how it edits together

Thank you for tuning in! The brass weights in the wheel and on the wheel hexes for sure made a large difference on the performance of the truck. The one thing we did notice getting a bit worse was the amp draw on the motor so the crawl gearing in our opinion becomes a must with either the basic crawl gearing in the single speed configuration or with the two speed transmission upgrade! We are excited to continue the series and see how much more capable we can make the truck

Thank you for the comment! The Stampede for most is a pretty iconic R/C as most people growing up had one as a kid and remember all of the fun that they had with them! The new Stampede 4x4 does have a bunch of great feature however like the clipless body mount, preinstalled extra heavy duty suspension kit, larger diameter driveshafts and a little bit bigger motor for more fun!

@@ultrarchobbies Hey I have a couple questions if you dont mind. So they did away with the hoss and made it the new stampede vxl? Also the bl2s stampede has heavy duty blue parts that the vxl doesnt have? Am i seeing that right?

@@LowestDifficulty That is correct, Traxxas did continue the Hoss and replace it with the new Stampede 4x4 VXL to try and get rid of any confusion with having two platforms so close together. Both the new Stampede 4x4 Bl-2s and Stampede 4x4 VXL will both have the EHD (extreme heavy duty kit), pre installed out of the box from Traxxas. The only difference in the EHD kit will be the colours. Traxxas is using the blue EHD kit on the Bl-2S models where they are using the grey EHD kit on the Stampede 4x4 VXL. The other differenced will be electronics - BL-2S - 3300kv motor - all waterproof electronics installed, 2s Lipo max, 30ish MPH, Tq 2.4ghz transmitter without the TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) and the ability to link the bluetooth module to the transmitter, 2075 servo, no battery or charger included VXL - 540XL 2400kv motor - all waterproof electronics installed, 2-3s Lipos can be ran, 40-60 MPH depending on battery installed and gearing, Tqi 2.4ghz Transmitter w/ TSM and the ability to link the bluetooth module to the transmitter, 2075 servo and no battery or charger included

When Chris dyed this udr he also dyed many other parts as well. He ended up using 4 bottle of liquid dye and a large bottle of vinegar to help the parts soak up the dye

We still run 4s as we would run 2 x 2s just in series but the car does feel much more aggressive and a bit more stable with the 2s shorty packs

That is awesome to hear about your new Rustler congrats! On the older models they did have body posts that required the use of body clips to retain the body. Usually if your car has body posts Traxxas did not put any in the body of the Rustler during shipping however they did put the body clips in the plastic bag extra with the exploded views, manual and warranty documents

No way, that is where we are from!!!

The Reedy SC400 and Reedy SC480X can both run 2-3s LiPo batteries. Only thing with the Ecto is finding a 3s battery that fits the small battery tray. Usually we like the Gens Ace Adventure 3s shorty packs as they fit most small battery trays well
