Love it - I was just about to do the same but wanted to make sure that using a jack was the way to go, so I'm happy to see others have tried it and it works!
So, I used an 8 ton bottle jack I got from Harbor Freight and when turned on its side like that, it wouldn't work. What worked great was the screw style car jack from my WRX! it has large flat surfaces (still used scrap wood to avoid damaging the new floor joists) and it was smooth and fast and works regardless of its orientation!
Coming here because someone years ago kinked the entire wire from the garage door opener to the sensor with staples :’) and now my sensor doesn’t work and I’ll have to replace the whole wire
Excellent video! Which recess lights did you use? I have been reading that a 30 degree beam angle is preferred and a 100 ft candle at the working surface height but I can’t seem to find this in the specs for Halo or Juno. You should do a pendent light on an island video next 😄
We just use standard 6" recessed LED disk lights. Light can be super complicated when trying to get the exact beam shape and light output... however sometimes just going simpler is the best solution.
I recently bought one. My only complaint is Dewalt decided to remove the tripod mounts for some reason on the new ones. I also bought a few 9ah Waitley batteries (Dewalt knock offs from Amazon) to power it. They are a fraction of the cost of Dewalt batteries and work just fine.
What a bummer!! I wonder why they ditched the tripod mount
Get outta that house at once! 😊
Is there a part 2??? Did it work????
No part 2... but it killed everything!
How did you get your new lumber to match the existing lumber? was there a 1/4" difference?
Due to the old lumber compressing over time they were the same height or even shorter.
It’s everything you've said, it’s great. Couple suggestions. 1. use the app to turn the light down, with the app you can go a couple levels up and down from whats on the physical light. 2. The light schedule on off time has come in handy a couple times.
The light schedule would be handy if you are able to leave it at the jobsite. Sadly in our area theft is such a huge issue we pack up every tool at the end of the day.
I use a wet microfiber rag with medium heat gets it up fast with no staining
Good suggestion!
Where exactly on the tape measure is "a little over"? I can't find it on mine.
Look between the 1/16 and 3/16 mark you will find it there in really small text... if your tape measurer is yellow than the text may also be printed in a slightly darker yellow font color.
@@RaptorRenovation 😄
The blue was a great color choice. You all are very hard workers. Super Work!
Floors do not have to be level. They can be very sloped as a matter of fact they can be off by a matter of feet from one end to another. What they must be is flat and there is a big difference
Your house can be 90 degrees out of level.. or 180 degrees out of level... it just because it 'can' be doesn't mean it should be.
@@RaptorRenovation I think you missed my point son. I will give you an example since you seem to be struggling. A handicap ramp is not level at all. ADA likes to see them wth a 1:12 slope or nearly a 5 degree angle. They are however flat and would accept any kind of flooring, including weed planks just fine. They key once again is that the floor is consistently FLAT. Level, in and by itself does not matter.
we are talking about a flat floor not a ramp.. if it has alot of sloap it will look feel and look horrible@@MOAB-UT
@@vegitoblue7908 Flat floors should be flat. Inside on a regular floor there should be no slope. Simple point, a ramp can get flooring and be fine even if not level.
@@MOAB-UT dude, you're speaking nonsense.Whats is wrong with you, man. you missed the point here.
There are two options, Flex H2O and more expensive Epoxy one. What's the difference?
I am not sure
Thank you, excellent vid.

LUKE 17:2 1 Corinthians 12:1 1 John 2 King James Version 2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
Wet the rag to draw the wax out fast
Great tip about the jack to push the joist into place. That one is going into the vault.
Im doing it just like you two did and waiting a hour before the expander foam im in Maine and its just around 60f out today hence the hour wait i didn't like the price 250 bks but if it works then its money well spent
Thanks for the review. I noticed you have the 12ah crossed out on the picture of batteries that fit. If the 9ah fits, so does the 12ah. They are the exact same size. Just thought you may want to know. Most people assume the 12ah is larger than 9ah. Now the 15 is way bigger.
That is a great tip!! I really thought they were larger. Thanks for the correction!!!!
@@RaptorRenovation happy to help. I was surprised to find out the same size battery could store so much more power. Same with the 6ah and 8ah.
What if laser itself not level , i mean little bit angle , and it will give results which will be on angle , just curious hope will get answer ,thanks mate all the info
Good question! The laser we use is a self leveling laser. As long as you have a self leveling laser than you are in the clear!
Those bombs work
I am looking into buying a new to me home and the inspector came across some wood (wedge style) shims that were sitting on the piers but nothing actually between the peirs and the beam, and the floors are slightly uneven in one closet and having some door latch issues, along with the girder (I think is what he called it) looks like 3 2x6s that are supposed to be flush together have separated on the end, would re shimming and possibly jacking up a little higher help this issue, the house is 17 years old
If the house is only 17 years old and has this kind of structural issues than you should run away from that deal. Just think about how easy it would have been for someone in the building process to see that issue and fix it (the answer is very easy). Now there are a hundred things just as important but much harder to spot in the building process. If they were doing that poor of a job in the foundation that there are way more issues else where that you just can't see just.
thank you, fabric and iron👍👍👍😊
How do you remove the nipples? I want to try to use this to stop my leak in my basement. Where the bilco door bulkhead meets the foundation water comes up from the ground when it rains hard and leaks into the basement. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
We used an oscillating saw to cut them off
Hammer 🔨
Use a wet rag
I don't think a wet rag will remove dried wax from carpet...
Who much paint u use ???
I can not remember how many we used... maybe 10 gallons of top coat.
Just recently closed on our first house and there are spiders EVERYWHERE. Only question I have is do we need to shut off the pilot flame to our furnace ? I don’t plan on putting a bomb in the room with it so it won’t be in direct contact. I’m afraid to say screw it and burn my house down lol.
If you follow the instruction and use the correct amount that you will not need to worry about pilot lights.
I have been looking for a video like this for the past year!.. I bought a 1939 home with no plywood no installation no nothing just frame shingle and inside. Nobody did anything for years… and here we are complete idiots buying a home. We did the electrical downstairs, updated the plumbing, heating and cooling because it was diesel heating with furnace, and now I’m being flat broke. We still have to do the roof and siding by ourselves… thank you making it easy video that we can do
You are welcome!
Is it standard to place cabinets over walls that don’t have any drywall?
No that is is not standard practice
😅😅😅😅good humor. Im in the subscribe club witha plumb bob😅
Thank you!!
That’s my neighbors house
how would you solve for a 1.75 inch height difference?
The same way with stacking trim and cutting a slope on one side.
Great! Thanks. Our house (built 1974) has cement tile siding as the shims. I have almost an inch of slope from exterior wall to center of floor on second story (discovered when I redid 2nd story bathroom). I won't get to level without cracks in that brand new bathroom, but can I at least mitigate further compression with this method? Maybe risk an 1/8" rise?
You can mitigate further compression with this method. You could possibly get a little extra lift to help level the home as well. You would have to do the jacking very very slowly over the course of a day to make sure no major drywall cracking occurs. However, when lifting a home up there is always some risk of cracking interior finishings.
What type and brand paint do you use on the PVC pipe? Going to try to do a similar project and my wife hates the gray color of the conduit!
In the spray paint section of your local Lowe's or Home Depot there will be a selection of spray paint that can be used on plastic outdoor furniture. That is the type you are going to want to use.
Men of culture we meet again!!
Great video! Thank You.
Thank you for watching!
The ol z bend
Yep! It is a z bend with a side twist to wrap around a post.
2024 just watched. great tips and awesome colors
Thank you so much!!!
Only thing to make sure about is that there are no gas pipes under the house where you’re throwing those things. It’s funny how the wife treats them like they’re grenades with a short fuse. 😆
You are doing a great job,I really love the job if I can join your team
Thank you!! Hopefully we can keep growing our company and expanding our team but we are all full for 2024.
Can you please tell me about the wall sheets? Is the waterproofing already on it? What about cost effectiveness?
Google up 'Zip Sheathing' there is tons of information on the product and pricing info. It is a sheathing, air, and water barrier all in one.
What is that red jack pole called that lifted up the roof?
They are called jack posts
Crazy thing is. I’m watching this on July 2nd but 3 years later
Me too 😂
Happy 4th of July - did it work?!?🤯
Masks? Lmao
😷
Please stop calling Rustoleum epoxy. It's not even close.
What would you call it then? It is a two part chemical mix that is activated when combined and forms a chemical resistant coating... is that not an epoxy?
Do you turn the gas off?
We did not, if you follow the instruction on the number of cans to use for the size of your home then you shouldn't have any issues.
How get wax out of carpet
Just watch the video and find out! Ask any questions you may have!
