Look at that... more mud on top of sanded mud. Finishing drywall isn't the most exciting process but important to do well!
Day 61 : Project Chief

Second coat of mud going on the majority of places. Then adding gutter guards and a few trim pieces.
how would you solve for a 1.75 inch height difference?
The same way with stacking trim and cutting a slope on one side.
Great! Thanks. Our house (built 1974) has cement tile siding as the shims. I have almost an inch of slope from exterior wall to center of floor on second story (discovered when I redid 2nd story bathroom). I won't get to level without cracks in that brand new bathroom, but can I at least mitigate further compression with this method? Maybe risk an 1/8" rise?
You can mitigate further compression with this method. You could possibly get a little extra lift to help level the home as well. You would have to do the jacking very very slowly over the course of a day to make sure no major drywall cracking occurs. However, when lifting a home up there is always some risk of cracking interior finishings.
What type and brand paint do you use on the PVC pipe? Going to try to do a similar project and my wife hates the gray color of the conduit!
In the spray paint section of your local Lowe's or Home Depot there will be a selection of spray paint that can be used on plastic outdoor furniture. That is the type you are going to want to use.
Men of culture we meet again!!
Great video! Thank You.
Thank you for watching!
The ol z bend
Yep! It is a z bend with a side twist to wrap around a post.
2024 just watched. great tips and awesome colors
Thank you so much!!!
Only thing to make sure about is that there are no gas pipes under the house where you’re throwing those things. It’s funny how the wife treats them like they’re grenades with a short fuse. 😆
You are doing a great job,I really love the job if I can join your team
Thank you!! Hopefully we can keep growing our company and expanding our team but we are all full for 2024.
Can you please tell me about the wall sheets? Is the waterproofing already on it? What about cost effectiveness?
Google up 'Zip Sheathing' there is tons of information on the product and pricing info. It is a sheathing, air, and water barrier all in one.
What is that red jack pole called that lifted up the roof?
They are called jack posts
Crazy thing is. I’m watching this on July 2nd but 3 years later
Me too 😂
Happy 4th of July - did it work?!?🤯
Masks? Lmao
😷
Please stop calling Rustoleum epoxy. It's not even close.
What would you call it then? It is a two part chemical mix that is activated when combined and forms a chemical resistant coating... is that not an epoxy?
Do you turn the gas off?
We did not, if you follow the instruction on the number of cans to use for the size of your home then you shouldn't have any issues.
How get wax out of carpet
Just watch the video and find out! Ask any questions you may have!
I liked the beige better. The blue is too bright. A deeper grey blue would’ve looked better
Thanks for your opinion!
wow hes HOT
😳
Wow! It worked. Finished under 5 mins thank you
Always stoked to hear that our video helped someone!!
Great team
Thanks!!
I wonder if freezing the wax would work. I’m thinking the cans of air that you use to clean your computer, keyboard, etc. 🤔
Freezing will only work on very small wax stains, if it is larger than the heat works better.
Did it end up working? Were they all gone
It did work well! We were bug free for about 6ish months
what a horrible v ideo. no audio nor explanation.
Thanks!!! It was one of our very early videos where we were still trying to figure things out. Check out our new videos and let us know what you think!!
dig maeookk gu spark
Que¿
she has a nice rump lol
That guy has a nice rump too!! Don't leave him out!
How long did you have to wait for the floor to dry completely before applying the epoxy ??
We wait at least 24 hours if you out fans on it and it is in the summer. If it is in the winter or damp out we out fans on it and let it dry for 2-4 days.
Did it work?
Yep!!!
How much does it cost?
Not sure now check out the link in the discription.

Very helpful video, thanks for putting this out there.
You are welcome and thanks for the kind words!
Such a good video that helped me a lot! So many other videos just divided by ceiling height and just put them in a grid without intention. Putting it over work areas makes so much more sense and imo looks better too. Intentional 💪
Thanks so much for the kind words!!!
Can i turn the aircon on so it circulates the spray around the house?
You should have the bug bombs placed in the large rooms and in the hallway (with the doors open). This will allow the vapor to go everywhere. Using the HVAC to circulate the fogger is overkill.
DUDE... thanks for taking the time to post the video...I'm super dizzy watching it.., would have been nice to have some commentary then only FF for certain segments.... it's all in the editing.
Thanks! This was one of our very early videos, I think we have gotten better since then haha!
Thanks for the tip to turn off the steam setting and for clarity on how long this took. I have a showing. Today
You are welcome!!
You guys are so cute 🥺 getting ready to paint my 1940s house with my husband as well 📍PA
I thought an electricians hammer was a pair of side cutting pliers ( Kleins ).
😂
WAMP wamp wamppppppppp
I love short clear videos like this. Thanks for keeping it concise!
Thanks!! It has take a few years of practice to get our videos concise. Glad you appreciate it!
Great video guys! I actually am in the process of re-shimming the supports in my basement. I was going to just cut my own shims, I didn't think about them compressing over time.
Good luck! Feel free to message if you have any questions. Be sure to use hard materials for your shims!
I have the exact same issue with my home. Should the joists be lifted up to the original level position? How do you get everything level again with the new shims?
Better to have it then not when doing certain jobs save you time and the headache
did u remove food from refrigerator clothes and furniture like couch/ beds
Nope, you can use these without emptying your home.
Reason #2 to sound proof your laundry room is spot on.
Do you have the CENTER of the light 25 inches off the wall, at the edge of counters? Or is the furthest point of the recessed light 25 inches off? E.g. for the latter condition, a 4-inch light would be 21-25 inches off the wall, centered at 23.
You are wanting the center of the light to be at the edge of the counter. So your example of a 23" counter is correct to have the edge of the light at 21" off the wall if it is a 4" light.
You two are hilarious 😂😂😂
Thanks!!
Man I have a project that I took on without any thought. I appreciate the video helped a lot!
Thanks!
I love how they trauma bond
What if you new joist was taller than the existing one
If the new joist is taller than you will need to run it through a table saw to cut it to the correct height before installing it.
Or use a hand saw. Mark how far in you need to cut off and use a square to trace a straight light along the edge and just go careful and slowly
I’m about to give it a go with this product. Thanks for the tips
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
do you recommend 4" or 6" lights for the kitchen
We use 6" lights because they have a slightly better light volume per can. However, using 4" cans can be less intrusive look but may require a few more.
Nice work! I have a nasty floor in one of my rentals I'm tackling this month!
