@@rostek2010 I will relist this bass on Reverb in the coming months and will do further reserch to make it sure then but I guess it is a LB1. Both lb1 and lb2 have both :) pickup configurations pj and pp as far as I remember. 🙋🏼‍♂️

Would not think so, what in the world has a Hughes&Kettner Made in Germany label on it and is made out of plastic? Last time I checked inside out I remember seeing all electronics and good grade sheet metal.

No sound without a battery. although the onboard circuit is only a mid boost, without the battery you get no sound at all. This is similar in all boost-eq preamp featuring guitars designed in the same era (charvel jacksons for example).

Well these are very well made instruments but as the years pass by the neck will loose a bit of straightness and the top will form a belly, which are all natural. get it checked by a luthier, a good one will do the necessary adjustments and the guitar will be good to play again.

Thanks! I guess it is the same difference between the original late 80s RG550 and the Genesis series RG550. This one has premuim two piece basswood body for example, just like the vintage JEM guitars have.

(please check photos to see). But no cracks or breaks or other repair issues. Neck is perfect, only two mini hairlines around the toplock bolts at the back/ no breaks- nor cracks . genuine Wizard neck and All Access Neck Joint. Frets are %70. Intonates perfect, ringing&singing all over the fretboard. (make sure you see the video) Pro Edge bridge indicates this may be one of the very first rg770dx guitars that got out of the plant in 1991. Pickups all original Dimarzio made IBZUSA F2 and F4 humbuckers, the single coil (under the original C3 cover) is a vintage Dimarzio FS-1 The C3 is similar to the Ibanez Jem single coil mid pickup. It reads 7.75 ohms, but the FS-1 mod onboard gives a whopping 13.06 ohms, has much more power, output and overall clarity. Obvious when a biting single coil driving rythm tone is played on (please see video) The three pickups set round up to a real kicking & versatile vintage Dimarzio Pickups tone engine. Once we are at the call for the Ibanez Jem, this RG770DX is IOHO a plain jane well built vintage 80s/90s Jem without Mr.Vai's special cosmetic touches :) one of the last ones Ibanez built with good quality woods & craftsmanship. I like it yes, though the single coils dont have the good sparkle, the humbucker is good. Just set it 2mm under the strings and if you have quality brand strings, definition wont be a problem at all. Make sure you get a good deal buying this model, to be honest selling it has not been easy, friendly reminder!
