RONE - The ALPHA Project (Teresa - Room 5)
มุมมอง 2722 ปีที่แล้ว
During 2017 RONE was working in secret on a series of works in an old paper mill. This was a dream project, a giant abandoned site where he could paint whatever he saw fit. These latest works at Yarra Bend have been completed inside the iconic brutalist brick buildings of the old Alphington Paper Mills on Heidelberg Road. Filmed and edited by Rone Music by Bensound / www.bensound.com

How do you paint so big?? RONE OVERLAY METHOD
Humans lived here.
Simply extraordinary. Something to return to over and over again.
Brilliantly done, as fine a video as any on TH-cam, and the tiny number of views is beyond belief.
This should be one of the most viewed videos on TH-cam. Remarkable, unforgettable.
A moving ,evocative experience with surprises around every corner. The eye for details is incredible...what a brilliant installation. Honoured to have been able to see it in person.
I would love to know who made this video and to see more of his/her work. This video is amazing!
Sorry but do you suffer from some type of head trauma?
i really wish to go, but ticket sold out. Will it be publish again for public to buy ticket?
Beautiful, Well done!
Music reminds me of Morricone's "The Mission".
Rone still in my head and heart since Sunday ❤
gorgeous installations!
COOl. Painter's work. Good looking. 👍 good work
Absolutely stunning 😍
Great art work and vintage atmosphere. My wife used to work in the original library VRI, so looking forward to view your work and reminisce.
LOVE YOUR WORK. FANTASTIC CAMERAWORK AND MUSIC 👌🤜🤛🇦🇺
An extraordinary exhibition. Was mesmerized by the created ambiance within the mansion - the excellent choice of music helped. Such a shame that it was open for so short a time. I would like to have gone more than once and friends whom I spoke to about it all wish they could have experienced it. Thank you Rone....
I enjoy your art and you have inspired me to pick up my art after 43 years...thank you from an old engineer.
You are most welcome Bruno! Thanks for the kind words
Thanks for sharing❤
Fantastic, the work is beautiful and so impressive on such a scale!
So excited your new project is soon to be revealed. I just LOVE your work!!
Long time admirer your work in Melbourne and in Vanuatu. Looking forward to seeing your latest exhibition and hopefully more of your work around the world.
It was worth sneaking in for this
Amazing

Have been itching to do a large mural for years now. My first thought was projector, then grid or using wall feature like windows, vents, electrical boxes etc as reference points to work off. You have inspired me to get cracking on a larger scale mural 👌 Thanks for sharing ! 🙏 Art by Dee Fred @lecore_art Perth Australia 🇦🇺
Why don't you just project an image onto it to trace via a LCD projector?
Many reasons; Not all locations have power, some have street lights you can’t turn off. Not all places are safe to leave expensive equipment out on the street. Running power cords across a street can be an issue, not everyone can afford a projector, if you miss a line you can tell until it’s light, You have to do it in the dark which is not always convenient, if the projector is bumped it will throw everything off, the definition is blurry at larger scales, your access lift casts a shadow that makes it awkward to mark higher areas of the wall unless you can project from a point that is much higher than your surface, it does work in the rain... I’m sure there is other reasons but if none of those are issues I think a projector is a good option but rarely is the case.
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge mate.
Paint my portrait on some structure :) Thumbs up given. PS Melbourne Australia.
good on you for sharing this great technique so that all budding street artists and muralists can learn from it...I have filmed 2 street art festivals here in Newcastle NSW ( Hit the Bricks 2014 and Big Picture 2020) and had seen this technique used but didn't really get the full picture of how it is done...this video helped me understand it much better
Big Paintings. Big Heart. Thanks for sharing this with us punters.
Thanks Rone......my faces are only A3 or so but I've loved your work for years especially when my old friend Jill Blick really encouraged me to check out your work. This approach to BIG pieces was a real eye opener.
Just ordered. My own 3D world.
Reminds me of my Dolls house when I was young _ thank you. You are an exceptional artist and I am so looking forward to Geelong
