The literature from which Indian Classical music has emanated through the pre vedic times to the present musical fusions ,that originally emanated from the Cosmic sound or Naad ,has been a contributory source to all genres of Music
The title NaadBrahma was selected as a befitting obeisance to the Almighty which becomes the essence of all creation, a musical offering.
As i had learnt Indian Classical Music from Pt Srinivas R Joshiji from the year 2015, i thought of encapsulating some of the renditions as a memoir of many a learning and as a reverential offering to the Omniscience that governs each of our lives in some way or the other. My humble salutations and pranams.
Further this channel is a commemoration, a strength of will , seeking blessings from the Almighty for all my family members.
My pranams to all the Gurus of Classical Music, to the renowned stalwarts ,experts including my Guru, Pt Srinivas R Joshiji.

It belongs to Kalyan thaat.

Raag Kalingda, the bandish Raam naam bhajan karo is from the references from Pt Vishnu Digambar Bhatkhande 's manuscripts, the volumes that are so precious for any learner. Raag Kalingda is a janya raaga from Bhairav thaat , with P and S as Vadi swar and Samvadi swar. I follow my Guruji's notes and along with it, i refer to Pt Ritwik Sanyal's books , Srutipada Sarita and Pt Omkarnath Thakurji's Sangeetanjali and also Pt Harishchandra Srivastava's Madhur Swarlipi Sangraha, and also to Pt Bhatkhande ,all this apart from listening to renowned Maestros. When u bhaja or chant what is happening ? U r not allowing any other thoughts to occupy your mind space . As a consequence all thoughts which hinder the progress of a Soul are , in a way , arrested . Bhaja / Chant is the dam which manoeuvres the waters of mind lake to their right source that is the Self 🙏Krishnarpanam

We have this as our bandish in the Dagar style, Drupad. And I am blessed to have a teacher, we sing it very very differently as the bandish of Dagar gharana. Even the basic structure of Bhimpalasi.... It is so different ....I wonder which Gharana this is?

I can share what i have noticed ,the difference between live singing and recorded versions, the same song sounds different after a while due to technical modalities.
