Yeah, Vanessa should have been Halle's sister since they went the swap route. Vanessa and Halle look nothing alike in the remake, and that kind of feels like a major plothole. Unless that is, Eric is REALLY not obvservant.

Enjoyed your reaction. For me, the remake is fine until directly compared with the original. This original is tighter and the characters deeper and more expressive. The remake feels like a community theater production of a Broadway show. My opinion, for what it's worth. Pat Carroll as Ursula continues to impress me.

The Evil eel are these. The green moray's breeding season is from July to September. The fertilized eggs float on top of the water until they hatch in to larvae called leptocephali. Leptocephali are transparent ribbon-like larvae. The larvae float around with the plankton for 8 months while they develop in to a young adult eel (Denver).

By the looks of that cavern she has been collecting artifacts for a very long time. She didn’t just want to be human for a man, she had been obsessing about it for a while (Part of Your World in the reprise is really Part of That World in the actual song). He was just the impetus for her to make it happen, not a sole reason. Which is still only reasonable to a teenage brain. But she deserves a little more credit. Also, Ursula’s “problematic” lyrics some are now complaining about regarding men only liking women who don’t speak is a deliberate lie to trick her into giving up her voice. He clearly does want someone who speaks as he is enthralled with her voice and looking for the girl who enchanted him by singing.
