Comprehensible Thai
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 16 ธ.ค. 2020
I have a dream of making acquiring Thai entirely free and completely convenient for everyone on the planet for all time!
Comprehensible Thai is a non-profit, global movement that operates based on Thanissaro Bhikkhu's cool concept of an economy of gifts and utilizes Dr. Marvin Brown's unique version of pure immersion known as automatic language growth to make possible my dream of offering a free and complete Thai course to everyone everywhere!
If you have already studied Thai via a different method and just need listening practice, we've got you covered too. The course is excellent listening practice for traditional learners, many of whom have reported unexpected improvements in their spoken Thai after consuming this content.

This video is part of an automatic language growth course that can take someone who knows zero Thai all the way to understanding native content like vlogs, podcasts, news, Dhamma talks, TV series, movies, and more with no study at all and completely for free. Not only that, but eventually spontaneous speech will develop as well in a process similar to the way you began speaking your native language! The course is divided into multiple levels as follows:

I play the guitar, so it was cool for me learn a few more words associated with it.
Understood about 90%. Mostly +95% but the lost some of the threads of the discussion following the story
Khop khun mak Khru Ae kab Khu Ying! Great way to learn. Well done.
Really fascinating lesson. Understood somewhere between 90&95%

Good lesson. 90% comp. A shark visiting Kru Fah's house would be funny. I think cat owners would be disappointed wth their cats responses
Thank you very much!
How often do they say 'die' in these lessons? 🤣It's like I'm studying dtai not Thai. 90% comp of the main story, but last few minutes were maybe 70%. B3#103 at 111 hours
B3#102. About 90% comprehension, but missed a few sentences in there, so would be about 60% if asked to recite each and every sentence (which I know isnt the purpose of the immersion method).
Understood 80% overall, sometimes higher
A fairly easy one with good images and Kru Ying leading the charge
It's January as I watch this. My current temperature: -8 degrees Celsius. Nooooooow!
Understood 75%. I never leave Thailand without buying another pair of Muay Thai shorts
Thank you very much! Step by step ...

Thank you Comprehensible Thai for each lesson!
Thanks for the video. My comprehension was around 60% (I'm a little sleep deprived and sleepy).
I've really been liking the stories so far in the B3 playlist.
awesome lesson, learn many action thai word in this video.
Great lesson! Thank you. Understood about 90%
Thanks for the video. I understood around 75%. Honestly, Khruu Fah amazed me with how much of the photo she remembered in the brief 5 and 10 seconds that she saw it. I could barely recall most of the details and she was casually redrawing the scene and the location of the items. Lord, it shows that there are memory gods walking amongst us mere mortals 55555.
Thanks for the video! I understood around 85%. I'm guessing that what's considered to be redhead (the color orange) is different in Thailand. I thought some of the last people had a mix of orange and brown hair. Random tidbit (fact check me), but brown is just dark orange, iirc. The cut off between which color is which and if they're a different color is based on culture and is pretty arbitrary. I've heard of some places combining blue and green together. A goldfish is called poisson rouge in French and that translates to red fish in English. It blew my mind when I came across that in French class because it shows how much language and culture influences how we perceive things.
Thanks for the video. I understood around 85%. I honestly eat and drink the same thing irregardless of the weather. I usually let hot drinks cool down to the point where I can safely chug it. I let freshly brewed coffee cool until that point or just throw some oat and almond milk in and call it a day. The only cold (icy) drinks that i really drink are smoothies.

Was nice to hear Kruu Faa being so passionate even though it was about hating some subject lol. Same with Kruu Ying. I can tell that if I get to the lessons where they are just talking like in real life it will be so much more fun. I liked the speed also. I wish for those easier vocabulary the teachers would speak faster but I realize it's the beginner's course and it's not a continuous exact one after another lesson, it's shuffled a bit too. I hope to hear Kruu Ying speak faster in beginner 3 or 4, let's see :)
Entertaining and informative. ขอบคุณมาก

This lesson seemed quite hard. I only understood around 30%
I think Payacru might be my favorite. I'm afraid of Yak, though. He eats people!
Great lesson, even for those at B1 and B2. 100% comp with some new expressions I wasn't familiar with. Both are great teachers, but Kru Ying really knows her students and what level to pitch at - absolute professional. Viewed in B3#98 at 109 hours. Thanks for posting
This was another fun story. I feel like I've done something similar (either wrong ingredient or measuring incorrectly) but I can't recall exactly at the moment. This does remind me, however, of one time I accidentally bought decaffeinated coffee instead of regular coffee. When I realized what I had done I was not embarrassed... but horrified!
Thanks for the video. I'd put my comprehension at around 60%. It's likely because I'm not a big fan of crab (I got lazy as I got older and I'd just cook chicken because there's no shell) and fish (excluding canned fish or filets). I like shrimp, but i avoid the head like the plague. Something about the head of fish and shrimp throw me off. I can eat cow tongue, cheek meat, meat, kidneys, liver, ect, but a whole cows head looks unappetizing to me.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned this but something I enjoy listening to is good audio! I can tell the audio quality of Khru Fah has improved and it makes listening more comfortable
Thank you very much !
A great topic and very well presented!
Bless your hearts, both of you.
