How To Wire A House : Wiring Tips And Tools
Great review!
Thanks for the comment
I presume you would add lightning rods higher than the pipes properly grounded with an appropriate resistance to dirt.
Your exactly right. Good Job. Thanks for the comment!
If connected to the panel you can just test continuity between natural and ground. The one that rings out is line side.
You are absolutely correct. That is a great tip. Thanks for the comment!
Dude. Continuity tester. You can get them for like $20 or less. Good ones for $40.
Thanks for the comment
Just ring it out with a meter
You could do that in this particular scenario however, this will allow you to trace wire up to live 480, underground, through walls, and identify breakers.
@@ElectricianToolDeals Yeah, this tool is really great for live scenarios or tracing a breaker. But for the demo'd use case, it's way overpriced. That's all. If you did a video using it to trace live circuits especially at 480V, then that would be impressive!
Wow.
Thanks for the comment
If the power is off and have a meter you can trace it out that way without having to spend over $60 for a tracer.
You are correct however the additional functionality of the tool ie: tracing wire in walls, underground, and in conduit, makes this well worth buying. Thanks for the comment.
I heard that the Irwins are self locking as well.
Thanks for the comment. We actually have Irwin rated, on our website, as the second best behind these.
@ElectricianToolDeals Is the self gripping ability of the pliers due to the fact that the jaws are closer to being at a right angle in relation to the handles?
@@henrygonzales9666 Thats is partly the reason but the other is the shape of the jaws and teeth.
Perfect comparison I was looking for.
Thanks for the comment.
Thank you sir! Curious to see what deals they have on Black Friday itself. The Black Friday Buildup is not bad at all!
Keep an eye on this channel. As soon as they set it up, we'll make a video. Thanks for the comment
@@ElectricianToolDeals I'll be watching this channel for sure!
Have you had to replace the light on these? One of ours just went out and we dont know how to replace the led
No you'll have to get a new light. Thanks for the comment.
I have that new klein light and a new type klein safety helmet black karbn. The new safety helmet is Very lght and Very Comfortable. Has a 6 pont suspension instead of kleins 4 point suspension. The 6 point makes it Very Comfortable. I like it"
This is definitely almost perfect. I love this combo. Thanks for the comment.
This is the best klein hard hat/head light klein makes" 💪
Thanks for the comment. It's almost perfect.
Trumpamania is running wild
Thanks for the comment. Thank God.
master locks are way to easy to pick. even i can pick them. but all pad locks can be picked , some just harder then others, but master locks are easer than even some cheap chinese locks. if you park over night out in the open, have back up locking. to just make it harder for a crook. but i need to find the correct color so i can paint over the name. i paid cash for my bog, so no reason to give free ad space to a mega corp.
You are correct. Adding cables/ chain is the best approach. Thanks for the comment.
Can’t find lock
Thanks for the comment. There is a link in the description.
The way they running across the roof it could be lightning rods.
Thanks for the comment. The solution video will be posted tomorrow.
Bad quality happened to me that's su.ks
Thanks for the comment. The barrel of different colored wire is awesome but, these are garbage.
Does it cut through rebar?
Thanks for the comment. It will cut through rebar, but be careful because it can easily snag.
@ElectricianToolDeals faster rpms?
Radio antans
Thanks for the comment.
Lightning rods
Thanks for the comment.
Our gfci isn’t resetting
Thanks for the comment. Be sure the main power is connected to the line side.
Mine shows no light at all what does that mean? I switch an old gfci to a new one and no lights turn on, I connected it just how it was before and I get nothing? Even though I changed it and connected to a regular outlet and it works
Verify that the feed wires are landed on the line side not the load side
@@ElectricianToolDeals thanks for the feedback I believe it could be tht watched some videos and got better insight
@red-x9479 your welcome. Thanks for the comment and if you have any more questions I would be more than glad to answer them.
Thankyou for this video and the connector one! Very helpful especially where you inserted the side cutters in to cut off the hanging concentric ring
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you found this useful. Have a great day.
This works, but I found that a tool I had in the truck did the same thing, was smaller and did it faster….get yourself A Makita DUB185Z leaf blower(Milwaukee makes a similar one) the rubber end comes off and clicks onto the vacuum side port and will suck the string incredibly fast as the wind speed is far greater than the vacuum. If suction doesn’t cut it, you can drill a feed hole for the string in a coupling and then use the blower end to force it through with pressure instead of vacuum. Works like a charm.
Thanks for the comment. I have not personally used a leaf blower but I've heard it works great. Have you tried blowing with a shop vac?
I haven't tried blowing with a vacuum, not sure how powerful it would be. But the blower works wonders.
We have had pulls in the past that were very long. We usually put a shop vac on one end sucking and one on the other end blowing. I'm definitely going to try the leaf blower, though.
Look at mr fancy pants over here showing off his 12Ah forge battery. Im over here living in squalor with my 3Ah XC batteries 😢
Hahahaha I must say, the forge batteries are hands down the best batteries on the market. I'm trying to find a good deal so everyone can get in the new line. Thanks for the comment btw.
Ok guys, we done found the problem. 🍪
Thanks for the comment
Trash
thanks - I didn't know it was this easy :-)
Your welcome. I'm glad you found this useful. Thanks for the comment.
Use a PEX cutter, it's much easier.
Thanks for the comment.
You are not using the proper leads. There is a different lead for doing megger testing. Notice the open spots above the red lead on the megger.
Thanks for the comment. These leads are the same leads that they use to calibrate these meggers.
You can use both sets of leads that come with the 1507 to mega the other lead you're talking about just has the test button on the lead there isn't anything wrong with using these clamps
Well now I feel like an asshole. Thanks for the education
I have knipex water pump pliers, BUT I can tell you the truth: any brand will hold the grip even if you step on it with all your weight. Knipex has another pros:)
Thanks for the comment but I'm going to disagree with you. I have busted my knuckles from slipping with almost every brand out there.
@@ElectricianToolDeals There is a channel with a guy who tests every brand. The difference is how much damage the teeth got in worst case scenarios. BUT Knipex is the best obviously :)
@@itsallaboutlee You wouldn't be referring to @MasteringMayhem would you?
Most of my Private tools are knipex. Great tools!
I absolutely love their tools. Thanks for the comment.
I got one right. And I'm a auto mechanic.
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad to see our trade brothers joining in.
So what your saying is basically nothing is wrong with both panels, they should both work fine they just need minor adjustments
Pretty much. Thanks for the comment.
More irritating light pollution and neighbor light intrusion. This damn things need to be directed downward and have a shroud, rather that pollute the neighborhood. At least its motion sensing instead of on all night.
Thanks for the comment. This light made keeping up with the dog at night a lot easier.
Thank you so much. There are so many breakers that aren’t labeled properly at my house, and it’s a pain when I’m trying to change out light switches. I appreciate this tutorial
Thanks for the comment. This tool is a life saver.
Job security buddy. 😂
Hahahaha very true. Thanks for the comment.
Counterfeit my bet Amazon has lots of counterfeit. They can easily look authentic
I bought them from home Depot in the box 2 pack+ charger for $99. Return the free tool. Deals ends October 27
Thanks for the comment. That deal is sold out nationwide.
Also the price was $199 for 2 not $99
@@ElectricianToolDeals it is $99 after the tool return. In store only.
@tulta3631 my apologies you are correct.
Now I’m in Canada so our code is different. So I’m just curious but does your code not require black to be the centre leg? This is a Wye configuration correct since it picks up the neutral? Genuinely curious for anyone that can shed some light.
Thanks for the comment. In the USA, the order of the colors actually doesn't matter. There is an unspoken code that says black is "A Phase" red is "B Phase" and blue is "C Phase". This is only true for wye type circuits. Delta has totally different rules. There also is some different code for corner grounded systems. I hope this answers your question.
@@ElectricianToolDealsI appreciate the knowledge, thanks!
@boonehelm7271 your very welcome Have An Awesome Day!
lol how the hell are we supposed to know the torque from a video?
Thanks for the comment. The set screws are in different amounts on each lug but I actually expected people to get the wire lengths and the sharp edges. It is definitely hard to catch the lugs.
And then Amazon's new return policy that prevents you from returning anything........Nah, not worth the risk.
amzn.to/3NAv2gb thats not what it says when you click return on this page.
Also how do we know they are legit milwaukeess.
Thanks for the comment. First you can look at the date on the bottom of the battery for when it was made. You also can enter the s/n into milwaukee's service portal.
60$ each sir. and theres delivery fees outside canada. so yes much better deal. but your implying that both batteries together cost 60$
Is English your 1st language.??
@@garycasper2929 I was gonna say the same... lmao 🤣🤣
@garycasper2929 Its my first language. I can read it fine. It literally says batteries. Plural
The plural in the title is because of the multiple available and the multiple that consumers have bought. If I say don't overpay for this battery, then someone will say that is the only one available.
How do you know they’re not counterfeits?
You can tell based off the font on the package and battery.
They have sold 4000 of these so far, I am sure if they were fake Amazon would of taken them down by now
@@FirstNumber1that’s not how Amazon works. Real products get mixed in with knockoffs because of how they store things and sell products for different sellers. Even if you select sold by Amazon, it could have products provided by a random third party.
Thanks for the comment. First you can look at the date on the bottom of the battery for when it was made. You also can enter the s/n into milwaukee's service portal.

Any idea on the interior dimensions? I'm having a difficult time finding a similar pouch for my 7-inch phone. (I didn't realize until today that this was an unusual size, but every case I can find tops out at 6.5" or so.)
Click the link in the description. It will have all the dimensions. Thanks for the comment.
@@ElectricianToolDeals Thanks. Looks like it's a tad too small. I'll keep looking. 😃
