I have a Masters degree in applied mechanical engineering (honour) since 1985.
I was granted a patent from the European Union in regards to constant velocity universal joints 2011.
There are some videos in my channel demonstrate the constant velocity universal joints in which I was granted this patent.
My first published paper in Journal of sound and vibration vol. 103 /1985/ pp. 150-151 London.
I have the experience to improve many mechanical linkages during my career in a milling factory .
I worked as a lecturer in mechanical engineering department for more than 25 years.
I also, worked as a consultant engineer for many factories including plastic, sugar and paper factories.

Triangular / square gear construction and engagement
I constructed this triangular / square gears by SOLID WORK computer program.
It was initially driven from supposed triangular geometrical shape, then by smart steps ( successive approximation method) one can reach a balance between the arc lengths required to construct square gear which match the driver triangular gear to achieve smooth operation of the engaged gears.

CONSTRUCTING ELLIPTICAL GEARS

I constructed the profile of the elliptical gear by many attempts ( trail and error or successive approximation method) in order to reach a balance around the mid-point of the curve. The profile was initially driven from elliptical geometrical shape. one can use (MATHLAB) computer program to reach an exact profile and minimizing time of work.

Thanks for your comment One can mount the motor to a fixed base , where the axis of the shaft of the motor and the axis of the fixed hinge of yellow oscillating link are collinear, then transmit it's power by belt or chain to the hinge between the oscillating link (yellow) and the blue .

The mathematical term for the calculation being done here is called 'Fourier Series', with enough circles spiraling at constant rates you can trace the path of any given shape.

Thanks a lot for your comment and your question, As a mechanical engineer , I can say yes..... but, curves drawn according to polar coordinates are easier than those according to Cartesian coordinates, that is because all curves drawn by mechanical mechanisms are driven out from a circular motion. please check all my posted videos concerning how to convert circular motion to other type. Some times we use actuators or Solenoids to get linear motion instead of circular one driven out from motors .

Gracias por tu comentario se puede obtener el movimiento rectangular de un punto (aguja de la bobinadora) usando dos levas triangulares. la longitud y el ancho de la trayectoria rectangular dependen de la dimensión de cada leva triangular correspondientemente.

Excellent Coil Stator Coil winding machine, The vertical pin with copper wire stating pin hole is inserting wire with polished ceramic pin at coil winding part in side stator ( sewing machine pin hole with ceramic insert hole, not to damage copper wire insulation) & tail part of pin is guided with custom build female slot, into that female slot , male tail part. Of wire insert which running of Machine, this male pin is moving part & female base milling slot part is stagnant which is not movable, under that guiding stagnant female base part, while running male pin moving, this moment of pin is designed custom build ,made for particular single product making, (SPM product)
