@@comicbookshifu No problem, you've probably already read it, but #150 also had the back story related to Absolute. I only bought the Absolute series and task force, because I collected all the books it was going to crossover with. Glad I did as just for a change they are proper crossovers and not mentioned on one page or one frame as quite often happens with crossovers these days. They've actually thought about the combined series and it's not just a cash grab. I have a small channel, I mainly show covers from my older collection, but do highlight what I bought on NCBD, not in depth as yourself though!

@@Deadman1957TEB I did! I enjoyed it, and it's what made me go back and get into Absolute Power! Waid has been doing an awesome job on this story. TBH, I was wary about jumping into it. As you suggested, too often there are ridiculous tie-ins that serve no purpose in the overall story. I love how YT allows for so much variety in channels. Thanks for the comments man!

Thanks for the question! Skybound's GI Joe ARAH continues the action from it's previous publisher (IDW). I jumped in with issue 301 (Skybound's first issue) and after some initial dissonance, I've been enjoying the story! If this sounds more than you'd want to try, you may also consider the Energon GI Joe titles (Duke, Cobra Commander, Destro, etc), which are separate from this story, and are building to a new GI Joe #1! Welcome to TH-cam! I did read that the Batman tie-in is going to be back-up stories. Candidly, Absolute Power is not overwhelming with tie-ins or minis. I can't say it's event fatigue as much as my collecting habits have changed. I went ham on Dark Knights Metal and Death Metal, which had copious tie-ins. :)

You are not wrong! It’s a shame too. The writers have been successful elsewhere, but the High Republic just hasn’t been engaging. IMO, tapping the Old Republic and making it canon would have connected with an established audience and given creative teams something to build from. 🤷‍♂️

I grew up with the old Kenner action figures and remember watching Episode IV on laser disc at a friends house and fell in love. While the sequel movies were hit or miss for me (more miss than hit), I have enjoyed Mando and Ahsoka. The Darth Vader titles give a splendid insight into what the Sith Apprentice had been doing when he wasn't on the big screen. Fun stuff!

That's a great question! While I don't recall the specific issues, I did score some Conan volume 1 at a flea market. Unfortunately, eBay can make it challenging to comics at a bargain!
