Second day on the bounce at the golfie.With prime conditions just now thanks to the sun showing up it'd be rude not to make the most of it. Some of my favourite trails and some near fails,but awesome fun nonetheless! The gully at the start of NyNy seems deeper everytime i ride it now making it a bit more challenging but the rest of it esp the long traverse at the end is running sweet. Trails we...

Riding the DH bike at innerleithen again,had a couple of comedy crashes which i'll blame on tiredness rather than my lack of skill😅 A mashup of clips from Matador,Gold Run & Cresta....the new stuff on matador is awesome now it's finished,as are all the other improvements!

Horrible Crash caused by frame failure at Crankworx Rotorua. There's never a good place for this to happen,but better being there than the container drop at Hardline!! Thankfully BK seems to have escaped relatively unhurt,he's made of tough stuff that fella💪

The golfie is always a cool place to ride but today was taking things a bit far! but as usual the golfie doesn't disappoint,the trails are always rideable no matter how bad the conditions are. Two of the new trails at Laggan,the red,spare rib & blue.,slabba dabba do...a bit pedally today due to the 'breeze'. Not what i'd want to ride every day but it was nice to ride smooth stuff for a change.

Pretty impressed with the Hero 12's performace so far.Dropping into a very dark trail fairy plan it coped well brightening things up without ridiculous noise levels. Also,hypersmooth 6 gives impressive stabilisation allowing a nice slow shutter speed to keep the footage nice and flowy!.....My old hero 9 isn't in the bin yet tho,it's now providing some rear view action,which shows the gradient v...

Defo one of my favourite trails but it was so different to hit it from the entrance path,by the time i arrived at the trail i was already destroyed,so defo not my best run down it but at least we were all in the same boat i suppose!😂 was still happy to bag 2nd fastest in my catagory,pleased with that for sure😁

Carbon frame?
Carbon fiber is trash .it can crack internally and go unnoticed until total and unannounced failure occurs .

Doubt a pro is riding an old or abused frame. Landing wasn’t the smoothest but hard to imagine frame snapping on that jump/landing.

To be fair to pivot Bernard landed hard on the jump where the jump wedged the bike between the front and back wheel, I’ve seen frames snap like this a 100 times, it’s a headtube snapper and Bernard probably knew as he was landing that his bike may protest?. Land like that on a jump and the leverage forces are insane, I don’t think many frames would stand up to that? Bit of pilot error maybe in my opinion?
Honestly it’s a toss up blaming anyone is not gunna do any good I’d say the level of riding & equipment is pushing the limits & if you try and triple & case you cannot expect that every now & then a frame is gunna snap. It’s just the reality. 🙌

They use steel/aluminum dropouts and BB shells, why the hell not reinforce the headtube with Aluminum under the carbon on a jump bike. SMH this was bound to eventually happen.
Looks like he pushed that bonded frame past it's limits... hope he's okay.
