il rombo più bello per le orecchie a mio gusto era quello del fiat 128 e dell'audi (non so il modello)

Bmw m1,bmw e30 323i, alfetta gtv6 2.5, opel manta gte,volvo 240turbo, fiat x-1/9, renault 5turbo e Audi 4gr.b....tutte trazioni posteriori altrochè cazzatine di gtt o peugeottini....

Che macchine.....le prime gt turbo e le ultime r5.... 😍

Una settimana c'era la formula 1 , l'altra i prototipi... meno GP e più mondiale marche... erano altri tempi ed altri costi ( sicuramente meglio allora anche perché avevamo 40 anni di meno... :-) )

Fantastici ricordi! Era quasi più bello il Mondiale Marche della F1. Poi, pian piano, la F1 si è mangiata tutto con la regia di Ecclestone. Eppure allora molti piloti di F1 correvano anche in F2, alcuni anche negli appuntamenti più importanti della F3. In più quasi tutti facevano il Mondiale Marche (i "Prototipi", come si chiamavano in gergo). Dal 1976 (già il 1974 e 1975 erano stati sottotono) nacque l'insulso Campionato Silhouette, poi fu un monomarca Porsche per 15 anni e dopo... il nulla!

@juligoesto Yes. And in the same year Art Pollard and Swede Savage at Indianapolis in the worst 500 ever disputed. Francois Cevert... There were other bad years in motorsport but after 1973 the whole scenario changed forever and most of the events lost so much public...

@juligoesto If you think about F1 and just F1, you're right, many things happened after 1973. But, if you think about the whole motorsport... in 1973 you had: the last time Ferrari competed officially in endurance (its retirement just killed the world championship of makes and the 24h of Le Mans was no more the same). The last time they raced the Targa Florio, the last true road race. Stewart, the last old school champion retired. Many tragedies (Williamson!): motorsport lost its innocence...

Those were the last races of the Golden Era of motorsport (whose end I like to set simbolically in 1973). I was probably there, a child carried on the shoulders of my father. I was born near the track and began going to the circuit since I was a child. The first 1000km I remember was the 1981 edition under the deluge.

I agree. Peterson had the equipment in F1 and used it to full advantage, i.e. Lotus, while Brambilla drove lesser cars, but shined in the wet. In both cases, what might have been...

oddio che rischio!

I believe that both Peterson and Brambilla are two drivers that had great talent and should have had more success. I think they were in the same team in 1976 driving for March and Ronnie had a great victory at Monza.
