Piramal Girls Sr. Sec. School affiliated to CBSE Board an independent Residential and Day School with more than 870 students and 45 staffs, is one of the well known and outstanding school in Bagar, Rajasthan established in 2006 by the Piramal Group of Institutes (Dr. Mohanlal Piramal Charitable Trust) which has to its credit the distinction of running various educational institutes of repute since 1930.
In the year 1930, Seth Piramalji laid the foundation for women’s education in Rajasthan in a town called Bagar. He did this in challenging circumstances as the practice of female infanticide was prevalent in India in those days and even more so in Rajasthan. Seth Piramalji wanted to bring about “Social Reforms” and wanted to do away with social evils such as dowry, Sati and female infanticide. He came up with the revolutionary ideas of educating and thus empowering girls.
