You didn't actually explain exactly how PFOF worked interms of why and how money is exchanged and made by RH. You just said that its a third party middle man involved that benefits robinhood instead of the retail trader. Then the rest of the video goes on to other things RH does

in Wealthsimple, there is a serious flaw in not having a "Modify order" button next to "Cancel Order" button; this entails unnecessary loss of time canceling the order and waiting for a minimum of 3-4 minutes before putting in a fresh order. i have brought this to the notice of Wealthsimple, but they don't seem to bother correcting this flaw.

Not sure if you can deposit USD though (or whether they ding you an FXS fee or lousy rate requiring you to deposit in CAD first) Twice you mention day-trading stocks. This will not work with a TFSAs. Or rather you risk getting an investigation from CRA.

Exactly the same feelings I am having, I am a good developer and earning a good amount of money, but recently I realized this is not what I wanted to do for my entire life. I don't want to solve tech problems that are not going to help in my personal life rather than earning me money. I used to think every investor lose out during inflation, meanwhile, some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. The bottom line, there's always depression for some and profit for others, it all starts with having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides $250k to invest for the future, unfortunately, I'm a complete noob.

Payment for order flow is a scam. In fact, it was originally created by Bernie Madoff. It has been banned by England and other countries who have figured it out. Robinhood just takes advantage of this and its inexperienced investors. It is mostly young people who think they are investing but instead are just gambling via day trading. The fact that it is not banned already shows the corruption within the government charged with keeping the markets clean and honest. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Just because you are not paying for the trade up front doesn't mean its free. You pay on the back end with hidden jacked up middle man prices. It's sad and should be illegal. This kind of stuff is what separates capitalism from crony capitalism and breeds young angry socialists as everything goes to hell.

Canadian User here, I love the TOS software. BUT, If I scale in and out of a trade on Think or Swim through TD CANADA I will pay over $50/trade and up to $750 dollars in fees/day, Learning to trade with TD Canada is impossible. I switched to Interactive Brokers, I was profitable day trading in 2 months with very little downside due to fees. This week instead of paying TD $1500-$2500 in fees. I profited $1700. Do the math. Transfer your funds to IBKR, it will be painful to learn the software but you can't Succeed by learned on live accounts with TD, They make it impossible. Btw TOS/TD gives US users commission free trading. IBKR also Pays up to 4% on cash held in your account. trading is hard enough without a Broker robbing you blind.

$10 a month can get you a USD account and real-time updates with WST. That's a single trade with TD. Two trades a month and you're already losing. The best option for US securities trading is Interactive Brokers. No competition.

BTC's price has been fluctuating lately, which means the market is currently open and you cannot tell whether it is going to be bearish or bullish. This uncertainty is driving most traders away and forcing investors to hodl. I would say it's totally wrong to just sit back and wait, maybe make a few losses, this is the wrong way of thinking for an investor because as an investor it should be our job to find ways to add and recharge more and more coins as the ultimate goal of making a profit.
