Bucharest Railway Station - Flagship Project for Romania

A skillfully orchestrated effort to turn Bucharest Central Station area into a major European railway node and high-speed train stop, in combination with a multimodal hub serving the capital and the country, will bring major economic and social benefits. It will attract business and investments to the capital and the country. Additional benefits on a regional scale are the stimulation of economic vitality, improved access to jobs, reduced transportation cost and reduced infrastructure cost compared to sprawl-based growth. Benefits on a corridor scale are the creation of a coordinated system and network of stations and a strong real estate market. Finally, at the station and project level, the main benefits are the increased land and property value, improved public health due to increased walking and biking and the creation of a sense of community and place.

I like development, but old buildings need much more that money for now. Having been there, many buildings feel unsafe and ready to collapse at the first earthquake. In addition, developing public infrastructures could also come a long way before of this. I dont mind new projects, but don’t disregard things that could put lives in danger for nice PR. Nice project for future connectivity though !
Citizens of Bucharest, I see here only a giant capitalist land grab project. You will loose the suburban, regional and international railway connection of the citycenter. The name "terminal B" is only a fake name to hide the stealing of the largest railway railway station of the capital. The number of railway passangers will sink, the amount of cars (noise and pollution) will increase. Those green plots will be only parking places. This is not a project from the future. This is the past since the 70's.
Chill out. It will never be built. This video is a vote-grab at best.
