He Who Would Walk the Earth
มุมมอง 29หลายเดือนก่อน
Sparse and dreamy, Griffin Bjerke-Clarke's debut novel explores memory, identity, trauma, and healing through a timeless journey. An anti-colonial, He Who Would Walk the Earth is infused with Métis storytelling methods and elements of horror, that powerfully evokes a mood reminiscent of twentieth-century classics like Waiting for Godot. This book unsettles as much as it stokes, dystopian in Fel...

what kind of monster says that. As LEADER OF A COUNTRY, that "large swaths of missing people aren't really important to me". AND What kind of people vote for them.

Great idea! I hope she gets lots of seeds!

32 Myspace connections and they didn't jump at the deal? The fools! Fools I say!
Has prohibition eliminated drugs yet? That was supposed to be the whole thing.... it's been well over 100 years now since prohibition started.... Time to start being smart about drugs, legalize and regulate everything that needs it, and treat it like the health problem it has always been, not a "legal" problem.
Agreed.
I'll be talking with Karrie-Lynn today at 6 pm on twitch! Thanks for uploading this, it was part of my inspiration for doing interviews! <3
RIP Norton. <3
"Hey, Teachers! Leave them kids alone!" Murray Sinclair, going out in the coolest possible way. Just impossible to top.
His smile lights up a room. <3
OH, basically Part 1! :)
Two great people! ❤️
I often wonder why these anti-trans freaks are so obsessed with what's in a stranger's pants. Basically what they want is a genital inspection system, like livestock... Scott Moe and other losers: keep your creepy desire to know what's between everyone's legs to yourself! It's weird and gross!
Scott Moe is a fascist coward who's afraid of his own shadow and his own history.
#SK #SKVote #SKPoli #Indigenous #TwoSpirit #Youth Email from Indigenous Teachers for Two Spirit Youth Dear supporters, We want to share that our organization was featured today on Native Calgarian Podcast to discuss our opposition to Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe's recent comments on restricting students' access to change rooms in schools based on their assigned sex at birth. In the episode, our Communications Coordinators, Cas Wehner (she/they) and Madelaine Enns (they/she), discuss the potential impact of this policy on Indigenous queer youth and Indigenous rights. We also urge listeners to participate in the Saskatchewan provincial election tomorrow (October 28) to make their voices heard. Your ongoing support is necessary in safeguarding the rights and well-being of all individuals in our province. A special thank you to Michelle Robinson (they/them) from Native Calgarian Podcast for featuring us on their podcast. We greatly appreciate their support in amplifying our message on this very important issue. Thank you for standing with us, Tanzy Janvier (they/them) Lead Organizer Indigenous Teachers for Two-Spirit Youth linktr.ee/indigteachersfortwospirityouth
Such a great talk, as always! <3
Congrats! And OMG their status has Sept 30th on it??? DAMN that's wild! Yay Sam! ❤
I, as a non-Albertan, would have expected a Calgarian to have blamed Edmonton as the "heart of the hate" actually! 🤣 I guess Calgary really _IS_ doing the work! 🤮
Schooled by an angry kid. ✊
Stupid hor saying stupid sh!t with no evidence just like the Stone Age people 🤣
I've heard from immigrant families that some of them knew about the oppression of Indigenous folx before they moved over here, and that it was a good thing, because they knew at least they wouldn't be the "lowest" people. Capitalism turning folx against each other for 500 years, working 100% as intended.
Great episode, and you're right her shirt looks fantastic!
I also have Schrödinger’s autism - I either have it or I don’t, but I can’t afford the private health care costs required to get tested, so I’ll never know!
The 'racist' slur is played out, Karen. No longer credible.
You sound pretty racist!
You're not native, but all that stuff with your baby happened tho? How many cracker women does that happen to? Nurses hovering like vultures, checking your skin on a paper bag? Disgusting that folx are putting you through this. <3
I'm so sorry you're going through that from people you thought were friends! You literally explain your situation every single episode, I'm not sure what else they want?
A settler is asking you questions about your lineage?????
THE F*CK?? The arrogance in that letter, OMG!
JD Vance has _several_ deadnames, in fact. Gotta love that First Edition, him and his fellow couchlovers...
Imagine publishers actually asking Indigenous communities to claim the people that claim them. Such a simple phone call to make, but apparently one of capitalism's impossible challenges.
What a phenomenal interview with a truly beautiful human being! I'm a settler, there is so much history and brutality that isn't taught to us. What happened to and is continuing to happen to Indigenous peoples is genocide. I feel rage about families being ripped apart, culture and language ripped away and the brutality inflicted upon them. It is appalling the treatment that has occurred and is still being perpetuated now. We need to work harder for you. Too many children were taken and too, too many never went home! Thank you Karrie-Lynn for courageously sharing your story. Please know that I wished to embrace you for the child you were and were denied the comfort of family and were horrifically abused. For your family who couldn't find you and had to mourn your loss. I would embrace you for the adult you grew into who had to mask so much of their true self. I would embrace you for the joy of finally being able to express your true self. I see you, I hear you and I listened to your entire story without stopping because I wanted to give my full attention to sharing your life
So, I didn't know that panic attacks aren't the same for everyone. They can show up in many terrible ways in the body.
Happy Birthday!
The prevalence of autism in society terrifies the "governments" and corporations, that's one of the many connected reasons why they're trying to tear down everything with the "anti-woke" nonsense. If our true individuality was allowed to be seen, we'd be uncontrollable and free, which is a nightmare for the billionaire parasites and their capitalism-loving sycophants.
"COLONIALISM IS THE DISORDER" Preach that to the CLOUDS, folx!
Jasper: 1/3+ of the colonial settlement burns down. This sucks, but also maybe it's a sign. The infrastructure was saved. Give the land back to the real locals (the First Nations obviously) and listen to _them_ going forward on how to manage the land. Edited to add: The saved infrastructure is one of the reasons they'd never agree to the plan, imagine First Nations folx being "granted" colonizer-level infrastructure. Never happening.
I did like the new intro!
Oh crap, you were in the neighbourhood! 👋
You said Coast Salish and I was thinking, yay, maybe on the Island? But then I heard the Nations' names and no, that's the mainland. ❤
Yes Pam, remind Michelle how awesome she is! <3!
Growing up with a well, we always did navy showers. They were just called showers.
I've gone for months without a washing machine. I only just got a new one. My huge pile of backlogged laundry is going to wait longer. I'm only doing work uniforms and underwear. The rest I'm behaving like a bachelor and seeing if a shirt passes the sniff test it can be worn another day
