On 2024.07.27, IWA-Japan held its 30th anniversary show in Bangkok, Thailand presented by SETUP. President Pumi opened the show with the announcement of the IWA-Japan World Championship. However disaster struck and UltraMantis Black appeared with the kappas and Dr. Gore, the group attacked Pumi and Ultramantis christened himself the champion.
Later that night there was a three way tag match for the IWA-Japan Tag Team Championship where Ultramantis Black and Dr. Gore, and the defending champions, Chris Brookes and Masahiro Takanashi, lost the gold to The Good Deal.
After the match, Chris Brookes refused to leave Thailand without gold around his waist and challenged Ultramantis to a match for the new IWA-Japan World Championship.
