This is car control these cars we're a beast to handle. Brock was the best at it could watch that lap over and over. Just makes you happy to see him drive it to its limits no many could drive these cars like the king of the mountain .

This lap qualifying 6th - first for the Non turbo cars . Both Cars were Perkins cars and Perkins team - Brock brought Mobil money with him . The deal only last 1 year .

Brock driving at 10 tenths like that was untouchable. I watched it live on TV and got teary eyed with joy even as a kid. Brocky was such a fucking legend.

Brock and Perkins really had those VNs honking by the end of '91 Newly homologated 6 speed, 8500rpm safely... Unfortunately they were hard on brakes and rear tyres.

Not only do i miss the drivers of yesteryear but i miss the sounds of these monsters. There's few sounds better than that Commodore at full noise around the mountain. RIP Peter Perfect.

These blokes make it look so easy. Once the cameras inside, you can see how hard they work. I did 8 laps in a supercar once. Was drenched in sweat and sore muscles after. How these guys do it. I don’t know

What extraordinary car control, especially if viewed compared to the hyper-engineered examples we see in today's championship. You can see him literally wrestle the car into the Cutting, and the stuff over the top was a great example of how to drive on 2, or maybe 3 wheels (if you need them). How fortunate we've been to witness Brock's incredible talent on our racetracks. Great video, thanks very much.
