      This was an abnormally poor year. Usually, we have no problem selling what we pick each day, especially on the weekends. The produce wagon is so massive that it makes it look like there isn’t much corn out there.

      The videos you are talking about is ones peta films and edits the hell out of, like they will take a video of a farmer lifting a down cow the only way they can and then put it next to a seen that shows a dead cow or something like that to make it fit their agenda. Simply put of a dairy farmer mistreats cows they get stressed, stressed cows don't produce much milk and there goes any money they could make. So honestly only an idiot would believe those videos

      Appreciate it. Also forgot to mention that this seeding practice is know as no-till drilling. Instead of tilling the land, the drill creates the least amount of disruption to the soil as possible for seeding, preventing erosion and maintaining soil health

    Do you dot a lot of custom field work? I do a little myself for some small farms out here. Mainly high moisture corn. Smaller farms can’t justify a combine and I can help them out.

    • @marylandairy4736
      @marylandairy4736 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do custom chopping and spraying and then we have our square baling and combining custom done, each by different neighbors. There’s still a meaningful dairy presence in my area but less choppers to get the work done. The great debate between purchasing vs custom hire continues but we can justify with the customers we have. Diversified revenue streams!
