Micro Leprechaun V3 Speed

Maidenflight Micro Leprechaun V3 SPEED We have now created a setup that provides maximum performance - the setup consists of the following parts 1. Nano 9 G 2. Prop 6x3” 3. ESC 12 amp 4. Lipo 3C 350 mhA With that setup, it produces about 75 watts and uses about 6 amps, but then it also flies up vertically 😊 But the small Nano motor is having a hard time, as it is only made for 2 Cells, so if yo...

what sofware are you using and how do you know you need this or that kind of shape for the different parts of the plane ?
I'm an old guy, so I don't understand the new 3D programs, I work in an old 2004 AutoCAD, in 2D - 3D happens inside my head, so the most advanced program I have is my brain... It keeps the old brain cells going 🙂
@@Mr.Dane-RC for an old guy you sure make amazing RC planes
Man this makes me envious. I'm 19 and barely starting. I wish by the time I hit 30 or 35 I will have a workshop or at least a big enough garage and the proper material to do all my RC planes
Thermal ability?
@@ksmith8019 I actually think so, but I haven't tried it myself
Tip . . . used on all my Dane-RC CNC builds: Bindan-P Propellerleim B3/D2 (high-quality resin glue) works very fast . . . and nope . . it's not CA ;-)
Hope to receive my Mjolnir Delta kit tomorrow (Monday 16th December)
The t-motor listed at 850kv is a 4s version. I just ordered my Mjolnir Speed fomr you yesterday so i am trying to replicate your set up and want to order my electronics. please assist with motor info. Thank you! looking forward to building this.
Thank you for your order - you can read more about the motor we have tested the model with, it is made for 4S, but we have tested it with 6S and a 9x9" and with that setup it uses about 75 amps and is not overloaded. se link: dane-rc.dk/product/tmotor-at3520-long-shaft-brushless-motor-850kv/
@@Mr.Dane-RCthat makes sense. Than you very much for the info!

In the video by Michael Gibson, he is using a ramp to launch the model, is this required of can you launch the model by hand, thank you, Andy
A ramp is good, but I just throw it by hand.
Really impressed by this model, I have just sent you an email regarding shipping to the UK, I would be grateful if you would advise.
a email is sent to you 🙂
yeah that's pretty fast
Hello. Thanks for sharing this nice video. Is this the standard Dane Leprechaun XL that you use with both options (with wind extension as XL) and also and stand V3 (keeping out the winds extension)? Which motor did you install ?Thanks.
Hello - Thank you for your message, we have also tried to reply to your email, but we cannot get through to it.. This Leprechaun XL is built by Geir in Norway, the version is a standard XL and with it you also have the option to fly it as version V3, the engine you must choose is a Hacker A30-18 M kv2900 + 6.7:1, or a similar one that can produce approx. 600 watts if you choose the smaller Hacker A20-6 XL 10-Pole EVO + 4.4:1, then it is not powerful enough for version XL. but is powerful enough for version V3
@@Mr.Dane-RC Thanks Mr Dane for these clarifications, this could be a very interesting project for this winter
Is that the same Bee you built 3 ears ago/ That is some gorgeous building is it a scratch build or a modified Andy Clancy kit build? I have the Andy Clancy kit on the table now. Super nice Bee what did she weigh?
It is a model from Dane RC, see more here: dane-rc.dk/product/lazy-bee-xl-standard/
Gorgeous Lazy Bee! Flaps, ailerons and a lot of other airframe modifications topped with clear cover looks amazing. How did you do that white outline on the covering?
Hi, You can see more about the model on our website and how it is built here: dane-rc.dk/docs/lazy-bee-xl-extreme/
Almost a shame to cover those beautiful bare bones! Nice work
I like it, but personally would prefer the wings to be full dihedral. It is still beautiful though! 👍
How did you do? What is your setup and how long did it fly in competition?
Hello.Aren't you using a fuel pump? We see in the video that the fuel tank is compressed by the exhaust, is this something that can really work?
Which Walbro carb is that? The engine is normally supplied with a UMS carb. Thanks!
Hi Thomas, It is a carb. set from Morrisminimotors see more at: www.morrisminimotors.com/ums-50cc-carb-conversion-kit.html
@@Mr.Dane-RC Thank you for responding! You say the carb is for the 7-50 engine when you have the 5-55. Are the carbs really the same thing? Thanks.
Could you please send me your address
What well behaved hounds !!! And a gougous fun plane !!!
Thank you - I am also very happy to fly with mine, it provides many hours of fun 🙂
Idiot , why would you dive it into the ground like that , did it break the struts or the center wing joint spar ?
Beautiful birdy.🎉🎉🎉
Covering is off the charts. 😎
Buenas tardes... Gracias
For what airplane?? Only has 3.3 HP.
I am not aware of that, we have only adjusted and test driven it for a customer, and it runs well and has good power for a smaller aircraft 🙂
Did you add down thrust on the prop?
Hi ASK-fm6kl - Yes 2 degrees downward
I'm in lloovvee !!! That is friggin gorgeous !!! A 3DBee ... I'm going to write to Santa !!! ⭐⭐⭐😉😎
Well designed kit. Just ordered it. I'm going to enjoy building it.
Great. Responds immediately
Really fun and good workmanship plane.
Super easy, great little gadget 👍🏻
Saito go home 🙂
Could you please tell me how to get a kit. Thank you.
Hi - We sell them on our website see this link: dane-rc.dk/product/leprechaun-xl-building-kit/
when will you add it to your web page?
It may come this year, otherwise it will be at the beginning in 2024
@@Mr.Dane-RC I love repurposed designs for aero towing and fun flying, i made a kit over 20 years ago based on a stick design with moments of an extra, sold a ton of them back in the day, I like your novel approach.
@@DEeMONsworld Thank you - we have now flown it for several hours and it is absolutely perfect for most purposes, it is very easy to fly and does not do any unexpected actions, so we thought other model pilots should also have the opportunity to experience this fantastic aircraft, we will work hard in the next months to get a kit ready :-)
That’s really looking fun, huge fun flyer. Thanks for sharing this 👍🏻
Thank you! - It really is a fantastic airplane to fly with, it does what you ask of it and it doesn't make any mistakes, and there is plenty of excess power in that engine setup :-)
Hi There I love your Funfly plane is there any chance of a plan please?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide our drawings, as the model comes to our shop as a building kit - we hope for your understanding
Very nice
How much flap are you able to give before you're cutting the airflow off the elevator?
At 45 degrees, the elevator works fine, but at more, you have to be careful, test them at a good height
I prefer the fuselage to be made extra strong rather than making deep hollow cuts....
lovekola is his name..
What a great looking plane and excellent flyer. This is the fanciest version yet and I noticed it has full flaps. It must be capable of incredibly slow flight. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hi Poul Yes, it is good for slow flight and for many other fun tricks 🙂
I have been researching kits like this, and specifically this model. After seeing lots of videos of slope, soaring with people only flying rudder in elevator versions. Having not ever built a balsa a kit, I wanted an aircraft that could have ailerons! So I was really happy to see this video…. However, I was very disappointed that it only had music. It would’ve been nice to have some narration with some basic explanations as to what was going on maybe some final points things that would educate the first time curious person such as myself, especially with such an expensive kit that Hass to be imported to my country.
Thank you for your comment - Unfortunately, I'm not that good at languages other than Danish, and it wouldn't really make sense to voice it on the video - But we are always available on our email if there are any questions about the building kit
The prices on our website are incl. 25% Danish VAT if you live outside the EU, you do not have to pay Danish VAT of 25%, which our website removes once you have entered your address in the payment system, and you can also see the shipping cost before you pay. - se more at www.dane-rc.dk If you have further questions, feel free to write
I built one tooo, one question: how or with what did you do the yellow frontline on the wings ? i have problems to do that with oracover, because of the straightness. did you use another technique ?
stupendo bellissimo, complimenti !!!
Very nice. Good job, Nelli! Good dog!
Hallo Bis viel Wind , kann man ihn fliegen. Sind 5m/s noch machbar. Lg Gerd
