    As an animal lover I know some of the laws about food regarding animals. A Catholic mystic who claimed to see Jesus at a dinner said they were eating lamb....I know it's wrong because Torah says not to eat any animal who hasn't enjoyed a year of life. I'm Christian but a very choosy one about such visions. I understand more how God thinks from these rules...they make sense. Torah is a mosaic of our Creator.

      Naturally I love the command, "You shall not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn." and disagree with Paul's remark the God wasn't concerned about the Ox but the command was only a metaphor for preachers to be paid. I never trust "only a metaphor" language because I believe every Scripture has a Spiritual, an Intellectual, and a Material or natural meaning.

    Here's Jewish psychology in a nutshell: matrilineal descent tends to make sniveling apologies or demonized golems of the men. Cain and Abel is a reworking of a prior Sumerian creation myth in which Grain and Sheep debate which is the better "offering." This debate concludes with Grain winning, because there is no Sheep without Grain. In the Jewish version, God blames Cain for judging the blood thirsty brood's lack of patience and need for sacrifice. The Jewish God is Mommy usurping the order of nature and controlling the masculine. Christianity uses Mary as the go-between. Islam said Bitch, please. I hope this makes sense. If something doesn't, it's usually making dollars.

    This is really weird I had this weird condition as a child. Where I would punish myself if I did something wrong. If I felt like I Hurt someone by saying something mean. Or if I talked back to my mom or grandmother. I would bite my arm or I would avoid eating. I would do something that caused me pain and I did it like I was punishing myself for God. I forgot all about this just untill now, when I heard you talking.

I’ve attached the link here: th-cam.com/video/cDyE52Tm0X0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KP5_KvcmFOi4xRRo Regarding the question, the metaphor of the heavy suitcase refers to the idea that if you feel that serving G-d is difficult, then perhaps it is not Him you are truly serving. True service to G-d should be joyful and light.

      This is truly an excellent question. One could answer that the field of fashion isn't exactly the novelty of my soul... which is likely true. But more than that, one of the reasons why Jewish tradition doesn't encourage externalizing and highlighting personal uniqueness in superficial mediums like clothing styles and such is because the tendency to seek uniqueness in external things is just the most superficial level of personal uniqueness. Therefore, excessive focus on the superficial level not only fails to enhance uniqueness but also distracts from enhancing the true inner core of one's personality. I have no objection to eccentric clothing, but as a principle, I suggest everyone dig a little deeper and not settle for external individuality. On the contrary, many times people who are very focused on wearing unique clothing find themselves aligning with the herd in their opinions, beliefs, and aspirations. It is better to innovate and be unique in faith and aspirations while wearing regular clothes than to dress uniquely yet align your opinions and belief system with whatever seems to be trending.

    • @albertsrour8687
      @albertsrour8687 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg sad....since it reflects not only on the way you dress but also in your mindset. When you say that Jewish Tradition doesn't encourage..you mean Ashkenazi Haredi/Chassidic Tradition. In the Sephardic world, there was nothing like that but modesty, but not a monochromatic imposition of a false modesty that suppress the identity. We live in a physical world, and the uniqueness of the soul has several layers, and in not text says that the individual should dress, eat, and behive like a clone of one another following rebbes that are/were nothing but human like you and everyone else. The souls are intrinsically unique, imposing a way to think, behave and dress is a waste on that uniqueness. Enlight yourself using critical thinking because Hashem didn't create us like bees and hives, but as individual humans...fashion has nothing to do with what I really mean.

    What about when others unjustly blame you? Do you simply ignore it? Do you see it as a sign of something to work on, even though its more likely that the other person is projecting?

    • @Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg
      @Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's an excellent question. If I understood correctly, you are suggesting that since the other person also has all the flaws of justifying themselves and blaming others, why should I take their criticism seriously? Maybe they are the ones to blame, not me? This question can actually be applied to any scenario in life. There are always multiple perspectives. But the main point for you is to choose to look specifically from the perspective that emphasizes and highlights your own blame, this way you make more parts of your life and personality subject to your free choice. It's true that this involves a lot of self-criticism, and it's very likely that you are surrounded by people who don't criticize themselves at all. But the work of each person begins mainly with healing their own view of themselves. With God's help, people will also see an example from you and learn how to look at themselves. But even if they don't, you will only gain from choosing to see yourself this way.

This leaves little room for anyone else to speak. I definitely think it is important for each person to take a moment of silence to reflect before speaking in order to leave a little room for other people’s words.

    Is it true that judaism believes the jews were cast out of Israel by their god and must remain in exile until the return of their messiah? I have heard jewish scholars say this.

    • @Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg
      @Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed, that is an excellent question, and, as with many outstanding questions, the answer is somewhat intricate. While there are aspects in Judaism where answers appear straightforward and one-dimensional, such as individual conduct, often based on the Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law), communal and perspective matters are more diverse and should not be oversimplified. The teachings of our sages on the subject you mentioned-the authority, capability, or even the commandment to ascend to the Holy Land promised to us by the Almighty-are indeed complex. There are diverse statements in the words of our sages that may seem contradictory to the layman reader. Hence, we should strive to establish leadership characterized by a genuine fear of Heaven, led by righteous individuals well-versed in all aspects of Torah, seeking the well-being of the people of Israel and the entire world, and endeavoring to implement the will of God. As for myself, I certainly do not possess such stature, so everything I express is with limited authority, and hopefully, we will merit the establishment of a rectified Kingdom of Israel soon. It's worth noting that when delving into the depths and breadth of the words of our sages, the emerging image is that there is nothing holier than the Land of Israel for us. This undoubtedly requires not only prayer and supplication but also active and practical efforts. In any case, with Divine Providence, in our generation a significant number of the people of Israel have already returned to our Holy Land, and undoubtedly, we must strengthen our hold on all the territories of the promised Land. Therefore, we must invest all public and personal efforts in rectifying our way of life, both private and communal, to align with our Torah, the Torah of life and truth. Thus, we will merit fulfilling the purpose of all the prophets of Israel.

      @@Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg thank you Rabbi-Ephraim-Ehrenberg for your detailed and fascinating response, if there is one thing everybody can agree upon it is that Judaism is a very complex religion with an amazing range of views and a brilliant intellectual tradition. my 5c worth is the state of Israel and its leaders are doing incalculable harm to Jewish people around the world who just want to be good citizens of their nations and the world and lead good lives. Israel claims to be the jewish state yet proclaims to the world that homosexuality is fine!, promiscuity amongst its young women is fine and abortion is a human right! Judaism has never (prior to 1948) worshipped violence and bullying behaviour it despised it! yet here we are in 2023 and the flower of Jewish manhood is swaggering around with rifles and tanks.... jews are not Prussians my friend!
