Somebody has set up the dump cable on the bucket, just right. It loses very little of its load when picked up and swung.
Jim was a great guy yes. I took a dragline course at this training center.
I had the privilege of taking a course on this models in 1990. Jim Brennan was a wonderful guy. I got so sad when I heard he passed away. This DW in Listie, PA, should be kept as a Jim Brennan Museum in honor to him who dedicate all his life to mine industry. Salute to Danny Aust his partner
Я прошел курс обучения в этом учебном центре. Это действительно того стоит
That great im making this toy hahs
This has to be one of the coolest things I have seen in my 68 years.
Jim would be proud that his legacy lives on with these great machines. R.I.P. Jim
OMG Jim died ??? I had asked him about preserving them when he passed away he had no plans a really awesome and smart man !!!
@@johnsiders7819 Hi John-Jim passed away on April 16 2019. I talked to him a week before and he said he wasn't feeling well. He was a great man.
@@TL64329 what is the fate of the machines ? When I went there I asked about that and he said had no plans. His other half from what I gathered had no interest in them .
@@johnsiders7819 I guess Jim had given up on saving his machines. His partner is named Dan but I have no contact info on him. He might be interested in selling or giving the machines away since he has no interest in them. Jim said the building needed extensive repairs. If the machines get wet from a leaky building the electrical components might be ruined-so sad.
How can be made it you give a idea
For real he is making a Olympic size pool with diving .may take two years.
I bring terrible news, Jim had passed away, Wednesday April 17, 2019. My heart is broken he was a great friend of mine and will be missed. The fait of the drags is a little foggy on what is exactly going to happen.
Dusty Welch hi Dusty my name is Kevin Schrock. Did you know Jim well? We are having a service for him Sunday night in Somerset if you would like any information let me know in a comment back. We also need to settle his estate which unfortunately means the selling of his draglines. If you know anyone who may be interested please let me know...
@@kevinschrock9500 I may be there. I was told they had homes.... They should be donated to the lynnville coal museum in lynnville Indiana. They have expressed interest preservation of them.
Dusty Welch thank you for the response. I tried calling a few museums out west last night but all I got were answering machine. Would like to talk to someone Instead of leaving a message
@@kevinschrock9500 give me a call here this evening or tomorrow evening. I'm in Ohio.
@@kevinschrock9500 there is also a group in Ohio that visited Jim often and would gladly see to the preservation of them.
Very, very good!
Hahahahahah hahahahahaha
И сколько электричество сгорает пока сидит капает ???
Where are you located???
Where is this located??
Oh BTW we talked about trains I have G scale outdoor trains they are just the right size for his machines he was thinking of building a railroad around the digging area has he ever did that ??
I went there for a day long tour about 7 years ago it was a blast I had ran a 10 yard unit in my teens in FL I got on the chair that was not on the machine and picked it right up I did even better on the seat with the small board on my lap the owner said with some practice I could be on the real thing in no time He also said I did better than most operators that come there (no slack cable ) !! It is well worth the money to just to get to play with the machines !!! and visit the mine close by .
Yes the 8750 will walk right along with you operting it from on board.
can they walk with a guy sitting on it?
its about time i visit again been many years since i was last there
awesome excavator, very well done
It’s. a shovel
very good perspective and topp model
Thanks.
Mining companies already send their operators to Dragline World
Whats the name of the mechanical genius who figured the control system out ? Hat's off to you Sir,fantastic model.
Worlds best stress relief. Cold beer, some sandwiches and operating a scaled model drag-line.
Nice details. Is that Jim inside at the controls 2:10? LOL
Best video I have ever seen of Jim's 8750 Thank you!
It seems big Mining companies would want their operators to train on models such as these. Lot cheaper than dinging up a multimillion dollar Drag-line. The Container shipping industry has been using scale model ships for years to train captains. So why not try to get Mining companies involved with Drag-line world . I think its a great idea.
Great video. I always enjoy seeing Jim's machines in action!
That is awesome. My dad was an engineer for Bucyrus so I grew up around draglines & shovels. As an adult I've worked on plenty of them. I always enjoy seeing these working models.
ooooh ive just tipped on the ramp!! see when i win that fuckin lottery? !!!
Wow. I was at Dragline world many Many years ago. Im going to say mid 90's??? Me and my dad me Jim while we were eyeballin the draglines at a local strip in my home town of Windber. He gave us a his number and a few weeks later we were down at the dirt pit watching these little beasts do there thing!! I remember we walked in in the dark to that epic symphony song (the name of the piece escapes me) while the drags were working with there lights on. it was truly awesome. Gotta go back again!
That was from 2001 a space odyssey!
I see you work at Black Thunder. I've been to your mine a couple of times. Do you work on the 1570 or are you on the millwright gang since you are wating for the Jacobs Ranch shovel to go down? I'm guessing that you might know Tim Bear, John Ludemann and Terry Dressor. If you do tell them Jeff says hello.
Congratulations to your Dream
That is awesome
