My friend and I rented a 5 seater-car and drove to Alishan, Taiwan when it's late at night on 28 March 2024. It's early spring during the time.
The drive up is pretty smooth and pleasant as the road conditions are well-equipped and well-maintained.
There is not much vehicle in sight during the whole drive along Alishan Highway (台18線). We saw less than 10 cars.
If you plan to drive at night, just remember, drive slow and safe. Make sure your co-pilot is awake, the more eyes on the road the better!
