Hi I have a leak from the same spot but the steering pump is whining but still works when I have fluid init is the pump gone and need replacing or will it be fine just to replace the sensor

It's whining cause it needs fluid that's all, so just fit a new sensor and more power steering fluid and you should be fine

Sounds like you found yourself a decent car, I really like them in the metallic blue colour I think they look really nice, and that is very low mileage as well, similar to mine lol. Yeah it will feel slow compared to the fabia but it doesn't stop it from being a good car, let me know if you notice a difference once you've done your exhaust and filter!

@@LiamsToolboxmate it’s like brand new inside and in the engine bay, obviously a bit rust on the springs front and back. Just noticed it will need brakes and disc’s before mot in July. It’s such low mileage at 70904. Just hoping the hornet exhaust system replaces the part that is blowing, the bloke said the previous owner made a hole in the exhaust to make it sound louder the bloody donut 🍩

Tbh I am not sure as I don't think I have it on mine.

It's hard to tell without seeing it, I wouldn't recommend changing the wire to a smaller one though as they need to be a certain size to deal with the power if that makes sense

@@LiamsToolbox yes m o t , my step Daughter bought a new car , had the fiesta for 2 and a half yrs , I was given in for free, but felt I should give something, so 200 pounds it was, it will be in need of a couple of new tyres, when the m o t is due in 5 months , but in the paperwork, and service history , can’t see when it last had a cam belt , water pump change , it’s around 450 to get that done , I’m divided , you can’t get a half decent car that runs ok for that sort of money , so I guess it’s worth getting done rather than running till it goes bang 💥,,,, thanks for the reply , shane uk 🇬🇧

@shaneweightman yeah I agree you can't get anything decent for that price so might as well spend it on getting the fiesta belt done then you have peace of mind, the only thing I would say before is check underneath the car for rust, especially the rear Axel, seems to be quite common for these to badly rust

Yeah the 1.6 petrol is not the best on fuel but it is a really reliable engine! If you look after it, it will keep on going.

@clarkyyy2105 kind of expecting that 100,000 miles on a focus is nothing really the engines I've known these engines go over 300,000

I’ve had my ford focus style 1.8 petrol 09 for 6 days now and I’m starting to feel better about it now. It’s got 70,800 miles on the clock and very tidy. I have full hornet exhaust and k&n induction kit coming today or Monday and can’t wait to fit it. I might make a before and after video on my TH-cam channel

Yeah it's all sorted now 🙂 turns out the power steering pump makes that noise because there is no power steering fluid inside it

@@LiamsToolbox oh I see so what can I do as hobby mechanic, can I add fluid or do I need to buy a new pump, not very familiar with anything with steering related unfortunately

Well you need to add fluid as you can't drive the car once it completely runs out of fluid and you will damage your power steering pump, first thing is to fill it with fluid and then look for a leak.
