And if it does flop, well... will have to see if it is actually worth the time and effort ultimately.🤷‍♀️

Scara really was the main star of the event that patch. I love his character development, the melting of the ice he buit up due to betrayals that hid his true self. And so true, why are very important plot points presented in limited events? The same thing with the Albedo lore and event 1.1 about the false sky. @@cotton7522 I didn't mean the government, I meant the spreading of awareness is directly influencing the playerbase from all over, which will lead to the company losing some portion of the sales, and that could mess up a lot for hoyo. So as long as the consumers are doing something, there is always a chance that the company will change something. But if no one cares about this, speaks up or complains to the company, nothing will. But yeah, that's just the media side of things. Not even close to what's happening irl (I'm also affected by war in my country, so I know that first hand)

And what's crazy, even CN community has started to do so! So, we'll keep having hope. Situation in sumeru, sadly, didn't bring as much attention. But the situation now's more prominent than it was. So, let's just hope for the best of everyone!

Yeah, but might as well make some kind of influence. This petition allowed this to be picked up by news websites, which is huge. It is fictional, but by taking inspiration from real world countries, while neglecting its people, is quite disrespectful to them, which is why a lot of them are mostly just disappointed and are losing hope to see any representation of themselves. I think it's fair for them to be upset about it. And they have a ton of supporters, too, including voice actors. A lot of people believe that this is just disrespectful of them to do. That's where we're at.

True, which is not the issue. The issue is that they could, but chose not to. Everything was leading up towards it and by not doing that (multiple times) they are basically saying "Yeah, we'll use your culture, but not you guys, cus you're not good enough". I think it's understandable why people are upset, right?

People want something to change - people speak up about it. Games never do change because most people don't believe they can. "They are huge companies, they won't care". And it's because of attitudes like that that it keeps happening over and over again. We, as consumers, have the power to influence those who provide material for the consumers. There are more things at play, sure, but nobody will ever change anything with an attitude like that. I myself am not offended btw. Never was, probably never will. The only reason I do this is because I've seen for myself people from those cultures feeling UPSET and like their people are not good enough. Because that is the message hoyo are sending by doing something like this. And I want to help them be heard. Because, while some of them do voice their concerns, most are simply disappointed by it and are losing hope and interest in the game to talk about it. That doesn't mean they don't want it to change. They had hopes, those hopes were crushed. Simple as that. I'm sorry if it's affecting your experience with the game, but just as "they can just enjoy the game", so can you guys enjoy it while ignoring the "war" happening on the internet. Too difficult? Well, I'm sure it's just as difficult for those people to ignore this level of disrespect. And those examples... aren't gonna cut it. If they did, we wouldn't be here rn.
