This is probably one of the best recent records of the last decade. I can't stop listening to it. Yes, we definitely need a physical version. I've seen some people who've made mockups and most of them are really impressive. I'd buy a turntable set up if it was released vinyl .. but I'd definitely be psyched about a CD. She's under some big brand contract that won't allow her to release a physical record. It's so stupid.

I disagree with your interpretation when you arrive at Ptolemaea, I think she has reached the end of her rope with Isaiah and realizes he wants to kill her. She loses her mind and begins speaking with the devil, August Underground is the culmination of her struggle to escape Isaiah and the gunshot is from Ethel, killing Isaiah. The rest of the album is her reflecting on her own actions, what lead her to this point, and how to seek redemption for everything that’s happened.
